Урок английского языка в 5-м классе по теме "The Queen and the Parliament"

Цели:

  • познавательная: знакомство с конституционной монархией.
  • развивающая: развитие коммуникативной компетенции, способности осуществлять репродуктивные и продуктивные речевые действия.
  • воспитательная: воспитание уважительного отношения к культуре других стран.
  • учебная: развитие навыков устной речи (монолог, диалог), чтения, актуализация грамматического материала – косвенная речь.

Оборудование: географическая карта Великобритании, магнитная доска, карточки с названиями городов Великобритании, разделенные на слоги, мультимедийное приложение к УМК «Way Ahead» (5 уровень, упр.16 А), аудиозапись скороговорки.

ХОД УРОКА

I. Организационный момент– беседа с дежурным.

II. Сообщение темы и цели урока

Т: Today we are going to know about the British way  of ruling the country, about the Queen and the Parliament. Our theme in grammar is Reported Speech.

III. Фонетическая зарядка

– Let’s begin with tongue-twister challenge
She sells seashells on the sea-shore.

IV. Речевая зарядка

– Let’s play a game. Complete the names of the English cities: Lon-don, Brig-hton, Liver-pool, Man-chester, Ox-ford, Cam-bridge. (На магнитной доске разбитые на слоги названия Британских городов. Один из учеников собирает названия городов и прочитывает их  и показывает их на географической карте).

Учитель задает вопросы:

1. What is the capital of the UK?
2. What is the home city of «The Beatles»?
3. What are the university cities?
4. What are the industrial cities?
5. What is the resort in the south of Britain?
6. What is the home city of the Queen?

V. Проверка домашнего задания

T: Do you know who rules the country in Britain? If not let us read the text.
Ex.21, p.182-184
Контроль понимания:
Ex.22, p.184 – ответы на вопросы по тексту
Ex.24, 25, p.185 – монологическая речь по тексту
Ex.4, p. 71 WB – исправление неверных утверждений.
