I. Участники делятся на команды по 2 человека.
II. Описание заданий викторины.
Задание 1. Угадай национальный гимн Великобритании. Участники слышат 3 гимна: США, Великобритании и Уэльса. Они ставят галочку рядом с соответствующим номером гимна.
1. National anthem. Listen to 3 national anthems and decide which is the anthem of Great Britain “God Save the Queen”. (см. Приложение 1, Приложение 2,)
Задание 2. Флаги Соединенного королевства. Участники слушают описание флагов 4 частей Великобритании и флага Соединенного королевства и раскрашивают флаги в бланках, затем соединяют флаг с названием страны. Задание несложное, поэтому балл получает самая быстрая команда. После этого на экране появляются все флаги по очереди и те, кто быстро и правильно называют страны по памяти получают еще балл. .
2. Flags. Listen to the teacher. Color the flag and match it with the name of the country. The students get the handout (see below) but in black and white. They listen to flags descriptions (read below), match and colour. Teacher: the flag of England has a red cross in the white background; the flag of Scotland has a white diagonal cross in the blue background; the flag of Wales has a white and a green stripe and a red dragon in the front;a flag of Northern Ireland has a red diagonal cross in the white background. Students colour the UK flag by memory.

Задание 3. Цветы-символы. На экране появляются символы 4 частей Великобритании, и участники записывают название страны рядом с соответствующим номером слайда.
3. Flower symbols. Look at the screen and say which symbol belongs to which country.

Задание 4. Найди лишнее. Из 9 символов участники выбирают не Британские символы и в бланках вычеркивают номера , соответствующие номерам слайдов. если участники называют страны этих символов, то получают еще балл.
4. Odd one out. Look at the other symbols and say which aren’t British symbols.

Задание 5. Национальные праздники. Учитель зачитывает описание праздников, учащиеся записывают их названия. Если возникают затруднения, учащимся показывают слайды.
5. Holidays. Guess the holiday.
Teacher: This holiday is celebrated on the 17-th of April. People wear green and shamrock flowers. -St Patrick’s day
This holiday is on the 2-nd Sunday in May, people give their mothers presents and help them harder than ever. -Mother’s Day
This holiday is on the 5-th of November. People make a doll, fill it with straw and burn it. There are lots of fireworks as well. Bonfire Night\ Guy Fawkes night.
This holiday is at the end of March. People go to church and take part in Egg Hunt. Easter.

Задание 6. Британская монархия. Участники сами дополняют предложения о монархии. Варианты, которые не совсем точные, но логичные тоже засчитываются.
6. I bet you know British monarchy well. Continue the sentences and answer the questions. To make the game fair, students write down the answers in the answer-sheets and then name call them out.

Задание 7. Виды Лондона. Участники видят 4 вида лондонских достопримечательностей и пишут названия. Правильное написание не так важно, как правильное произношение.
7. London. Guess London sights. Students see some very familiar sights and write their names next to the numbers. When they call them out, it’s essential that they pronounce them correctly.

Задание 8. Британские знаменитости. Из 12 знаменитостей дети выбирают не Британских. Если они правильно называют имена этих знаменитостей и их страны, им присуждается лишний балл.
7. Odd one out.
Who of these celebrities aren’t British? Students cross out the numbers of photos they think aren’t British in their answer-sheets. If they guess it right and also name the celebrity correctly, they get two awards.

Задание 9. Что бы ты сделал, если б был Британцем. Дети получают задание на множественный выбор: как бы они поступили в определенной ситуации, если б были Британцами.
