Цель урока: Развитие коммуникативных способностей учащихся через различные виды речевой деятельности.

Образовательные задачи:

  • Совершенствование навыков работы с текстом.
  • Активизация словарного запаса.
  • Систематизация и обобщение грамматического и лексического материала по теме “Школа”.

Развивающие задачи:

  • Развитие навыков диалогической и монологической речи с использованием ранее полученной информации о форме обучения за рубежом, о разнице в образовании и изучении предметов.
  • Развитие умения анализировать, выделять главное, существенное в изучаемом материале, сравнивать, обобщать.
  • Формирование навыков говорения, учитывая индивидуально-психологические особенности восприятия и мышления учащихся.

Воспитательные задачи:

  • Воспитывать учащихся быть креативной личностью через создание ситуаций для проявления воображения и импровизации.
  • Формирование уважительного отношения к школе, к книге.
  • Повышение интереса к изучению иностранного языка.

  • Магнитофон. Фонограмма песни “Manners, Manners…”
  • Творческие сочинения учащихся по теме “Моя школа”.
  • Карточки с рисунками и записями школьных правил.
  • Компьютер, проектор, экран для презентации Microsoft Power Point (Презентация)

Ход урока

  1. Приветствие.

Teacher: Good morning boys and girls.

Pupils: Good morning, teacher!

Teacher: I’m glad to see you.

Pupils: I’m glad to see you too.

Teacher: How are you, Olga?

Pupil: I’m fine, thanks. (I’m not so good) etc.

Teacher: Sit down, please.

Pupils: Thank you.

  1. Постановка целей и задач урока.

Teacher: At the previous lessons we were talking about Rob`s school, his classes and friends, etc. Today, let`s talk about Misha’s school and our own school. We are glad to see our teachers and guests, headmaster of our school and parents. I hope you will get a pleasure. Some parents have never seen their children at the lesson, but a lot of them want to see their son’s and daughter’s success at the lessons their own eyes. You are welcome to our lesson. Let’s get started.

Teacher: Misha is writing to his parents about his first days at school. Read the letter (p.117, ex.3) and find the answers (учащиеся работают с текстом).

  • What’s the name of the school?
  • What’s the address of the school?
  • In which country (графство) is the school?

Teacher: Look at the pictures (p.118, ex.4) and find Misha’s uniform.

  • What do you think about it?
  • Is it really cool or is it funny?

Teacher: I would like you to tell your dialogues about Misha’s new school. (Учащиеся высказывают свое мнение о школе).

  1. Чтение текста и монологическое высказывание.

Teacher: Misha is writing an e-mail to his sister Masha (p.121, ex.3). (Учащиеся читают текст самостоятельно. Для проверки понимания прочитанного им предлагается выполнить следующее задание):

Teacher: What do you think?

  1. Does Misha like his new school?
  2. Is Misha’s room big or small?
  3. When does Misha get up?
  4. How many lessons are there every day?
  5. What kind of detention had Misha when he was running in the corridor.

Teacher: Our task is to compare Misha’s letter to his parents and to Masha. (Учащиеся работают в группах и высказывают своё личное мнение, проводят сравнение).

  1. Развитие речевого умения (говорение).
  1. Teacher: Dear pupils tell me please what does the word “should” mean?

Pupil: The word “should” means “следует”.

Teacher: Look at the blackboard and tell me please “Who should speak English every day?”

(Предлагается схема и примерный ответ: I should speak English every day).

  1. Teacher: Read the list of the rules at St. David’s School. Change the sentences and use “should/shouldn’t” (следует- не следует).

For example: I think the pupils should be polite at school.

  • Stand up when a teacher comes into the class.
  • Wear your school uniform.
  • Don’t eat or drink in the classroom.
  • Don’t run in the corridors.

  • You shouldn’t talk while you are eating.
  • You can eat your cake with a spoon.
  • You can eat chips with your fingers.
  • You should keep your napkin on the table near your plate.
  • The knife goes on the right of your plate.
  • If something on the table is too far away, you can stand up and take it.
  1. Teacher: We recite verses, read texts, sing songs at the English lessons. Let’s sing the song “What should we do and what shouldn’t we do” (учащиеся поют песню под фонограмму)

Teacher: Let’s speak about our school. (Учащиеся высказываются, используя схему).

Teacher: Pupils! I’d like you to listen your compositions about our school. (Учащиеся рассказывают о школе, используя свои сочинения).

Pupil 1: I go to school number 5. It’s a modern building of a typical design. You can see a sports ground behind the school. We have physical training lessons there. If you enter the school and go to the left you can see a dining room. The pupils and teachers have their breakfast and dinner there. There are many nice pictures on the wall. Our school has many classrooms. We have some English classrooms, History, Physics classrooms and others. There is a teacher’s table with books on it. It is situated not far from the blackboard. There is a TV set and a computer in the classroom. Sometimes it is used during the lessons. Pupils of our school sing songs and dance modern and folk dances. I like my school. I go there and get knowledge. (Приложение 1)

Pupil 2: I go to school number 5. My school is old and big. It is a modern building. We go to school 6 days a week. Our first class starts at 8.30 and last till 3 o’clock p.m. So we have 5 or 6 lessons a day. We study many different subjects: English, Physics, Literature, Russian, Biology, Math and other subjects. As for me I think English is the most important subject. It is my favourite subject. The teachers are kind and my classmates are very friendly. Sometimes I get punishment in my school because sometimes I get bad marks. I like my school and teachers who work there. (Приложение 2)

Pupil 3: My favourite place in our school is a school library. “What is a library?” Every school has a library. Our school has a library too. A school library is a collection of textbooks and books for reading. Most of school libraries have reading rooms and our library has a reading room too. Pupils go to there to read books, to look through some new magazines and to prepare for a report. Nina Borisovna is our librarian. She helps the pupils to find books which they need. We like to prepare home-work in the reading room. (Приложение 3)
