В течение двух лет учителя английского языка нашей школы работают над проблемой “Использование технологий критического мышления” в обучении учащихся на уроках иностранного языка. На “стадии вызова” в начале урока используется приём “кластер”, на “стадии осмысления” - приём “фиш - боун”.

Урок проводят 2 учителя. На уроке используются приёмы критического мышления. Учащиеся разделены на 2 группы:

- представители РФ;

- представители англоязычных стран.

Ход урока

1 часть урока – “стадия вызова”

Teacher: Dear children and teachers, today we’ve gathered to the conference of the winners of the International competition. Teenagers’ competition is called “We lived on the same planet”. I see, all of you have the badges of the participants. You came from the U.S.A, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the U.K. and Russia. Let’s become acquainted.

Student 1: My name is... I’m from the U.S.A. I live in New – York. This is the financial and cultural centre of the U.S.A. (ученик сообщает о себе своёй стране небольшую информацию).

Student 2: My name is... I’m from Australia. It is the biggest island and the smallest continent in the world. It is the largest country, but its population is only 18.3 million people. The capital of Australia is Canberra. English is the official language in Australia.

(Каждый участник англоязычных стран и представили России рассказывают о себе и своей стране, представляя информацию о культуре страны, обычаи, традиции и т.д.).

Teacher: As you can see? All of us are from different countries, but we understand each other. Why? Is it easy to understand each other?

Student 1: Yes, of course, because we speak English.

Student 2: No problems!

Student 3: English is the official language in the U.S.A.

Student 4: We also speak English in New Zealand, but there are some phonetic differences.

Student 5: I think, English in our countries is different because of different cultures.

Student 6: And there are a lot of different nationalities in my country.

Teacher: (обращается к группе российских школьников)

And what about you, children? Is English the official language in your country? Where do you study English? Is it difficult for you to study English and why?

(учащиеся дают обоснованные ответы, почему им легко или трудно изучать английский язык)

Teacher: Well, you see, children, all of you speak English, but sometimes you don’t understand each other. What are the reasons?

Ответы учащихся:

- different cultures,

- different nationalities.

- phonetic differences,

- grammatical differences, etc.

(В работе во время обсуждения проблемы используется приём “кластер”).

Teacher: What do we need to understand and to communicate with each other?

Students: One language.

Teacher: That’s it! Can it be English or another language? To answer this question gets ready to work with my partner.

2 часть урока – “стадия осмысления”

Используется приём “фиш - боун”

Teacher 2: Glad to meet you, my children! My name is ... And I suggest to you to continue our lesson. As you’ve said, people need to understand each other. Do you know that many years ago people decided to invent a new international language? Let’s read about it in the text-book. (Students read the text about Esperanto, Ex.21, p. 39).

Teacher 2: Please, look through the text and find out when this language was invented? How was it called? Why this language was easy to speak and to learn?

( учащиеся дают ответы и находят причины)

Teacher 2: Well, but as you know Esperanto was not popular, why?

Student: it was an artificial language.

Teacher 2: What other language can we choose as an international language?

Student: English language.

Teacher 2: Now, children, I suggest to you to prove your words and make a short project “The role of English in modern life”.

(Используя информацию задания в учебнике Ex.42, p. 44, материал, размещённый на компьютерных слайдах, каждая группа составляет свой устный проект по данной теме).
