Автор учит учащихся называть время по-английски. Развивает навыки самостоятельного приобретения знаний и самоконтроля, самостоятельность при работе с компьютером. Формирует представление о разнице языков на примере предложенной темы.

This progression of speaking tasks was worked out for the pupils of the 7th form of a specialized English class. The topic "Ecology. Man and Natural World." from the course book "English VI" by O.V.Afanasyeva, I.V.Mikheeva was used as a resource. The progression can be used at a final lesson on the topic "Ecology" so that by the end of the progression the pupils will be able to discuss ecological problems and speak on a weather forecast. They will start with the pre-communicative activities. The1st one is an exercise on drilling "if/when" clauses on the basis of the topical vocabulary (it's a structural activity). It is followed by a bit more complicated task supposing pupils' choice of the right definition from the chart (it's, so called, qwasi-communicfnive activity). Further on students pass to the functional activity in a cued dialogue. Afterwards pupils play a communicative game. At the last stage students participate in a role-play where they are involved in a social interaction. It may be used either as an independent lesson or as a part of a lesson.
