: “My Pet”Lesson objectives
:1. To consolidate the material of the unit talking and describing pets.
2. To present their pets.
Materials: A4 or A3 sheet of paper, coloured paper, scissors, crayons, glue, photos and pictures
Skills development:
1. Asking and answering questions about a pet.
2. Talking about pets, photos, pictures.
1. Warm-up
a)Asking pupils about their pets.
Have you got a pet?
What is it?
What colour is it?
What can your pet do? Etc.
b)Reciting poems about pets.
P1: I have got a pat.
It is a cat.
His name is Fred.
I love my cat.
P2: I have got a dog,
His name is Jack.
His head is white,
His nose is black.
I take him out
Every day.
Such fun we have!
We run and play.
Such clever tricks
My dog can do.
I love my dog!
He loves me too!
2. Ask questions on the photo.
(The teacher’s photo of his/her pet)
a) Do you want to know about my pet?
Then ask questions about it.
Pupils ask as many questions as they can.
b) In 3 groups pupils ask and answer the questions about their pets
and about their friend’s pets
3.Project work
a) Preparation and activity: Pupils make posters about their pets in groups, make pictures or stick photos of their pets and white necessary sentences under the photos.
b) Presentation: on the blackboard the plan of the story.

- who looks after
Display the posters on the walls, ask pupils which posters are bright and funny, and the best.
Pupils from each group in turn tell their stories about their pets.
c) Make a conclusion, find out the best storyteller and say something good about every pupil.
4.Follow-up.
a) If time is left, you may sing song and recite more poems or ask some more questions about friend’s pets.
My sister’s pet.
b) If time allows you may play the game. “Guess, what animal it is”
It’s big, yellow. It has a long tail and legs.
Its neck is long too. Its eyes are brown and nose is black.
Its teeth are not sharp. It likes to eat leaves from the trees.
It usually lives in Africa.
(It’s a giraffe.)
