Цели урока: развитие языковой компетенции учащихся через обобщение знаний по теме "Лондон и его достопримечательности".

Задачи урока:

  • Социокультурный аспект: знакомство с достопримечательностями Лондона.
  • Развивающий аспект: развитие способности осуществлять продуктивные и речевые действия.
  • Воспитательный аспект: воспитание уважительного отношения к иноязычной культуре.
  • Учебный аспект: совершенствование лексических навыков говорения в виде монологической и диалогической речи, развитие навыков аудирования и чтения.

Ход урока

1. Оргмомент

- Good morning, dear friends! Today we'll go to London for the excursion. We'll visit such places as Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

2. Фонетическая зарядка

- Well, first of all let's repeat some words which will be useful for our excursion.

[ju] - beautiful, museum, new

[ae] - gallery, travel, capital

[ei] - place, famous, stadium

- Let's translate these words and then answer some questions. (Работаем хором и индивидуально)

  1. What city is the capital of GB?
    - London
  2. What Museums in London do you know?
    - British museum.
  3. What galleries in London do you know?
    - National gallery.
  4. What was the name of London many-many years ago?
    - Londinium
  5. What is the main river in London?
    - The Thames.

Today we are glad to see two wise men.

1) The first wise man (О Лондоне)

Вопросы мудрецу:

а) London is the biggest city in Britain, isn't it?

b) How many streets are there in London?

This is London

London is the biggest city in Britain. More than seven million people live and work there. London is one of the most important cities in the world. It is the centre for business and for tourism. In London you can find some of the best theatres, cinemas and museums. There are many beautiful old churches in London too. Oxford Street is London's main shopping centre. The largest park in London is Hyde Park.

2) The second wise man (О великом пожаре)

  1. When and where did William the Conqueror?
  2. Where did William the Conqueror live when he was King ?
  3. Where and when did the Great Fire of London start ?
  4. What is life like in London today ?

The Great Fire of London

In 1066 William Conqueror and his people went to England from Normandy in France. William the Conqueror became King of England. He was afraid of the English and he built the White Tower to live in it. All Kings and Queens of England have lived in London.

On Saturday, 2-nd September 1666 there was strong wind from the river and a big fire began.

Подготовка: Устное повторение лексики по теме. Ученики пишут в своих тетрадях все слова, которые помнят по изученной теме, в течении 3х минут. Затем обмениваются тетрадями с партнёрами для проверки и исправления ошибок. Подсчитывают количество правильно написанных слов. Победитель - ученик, написавший большее количество слов правильно.

- Well, we've listened the stories about London and now we'll play a little. You'll write all the words about London during 3 minutes change you copybooks and count the words.
- Who will write a lot of words this pupil well be a winner.

6. Аудирование

- I want you to listen to the text about London Zoo and answer the questions.

London has a very fine old Zoo, which many children with their friends and parents visit every day. The Zoo is in a large park which in now far from the centre of London. Many old trees grow in the park, and in spring, summer and autumn there a lot of beautiful flowers there too.
Many kinds of animals live there: elephants, giraffes, sea-lions and polar bears, brown bears and foxes, and big and little monkeys. There are many kinds of birds there too.

- Where is the Zoo which you have listened?

- Do trees and flowers grow in that Zoo?

- What animals live in the Zoo?

There are a lot of pictures and posters on the blackboard. I hope we'll visit many places of interest with your help and it will be interesting and exciting.

5. The photographers say it when they want to get a smile.

2 конкурс: "Достопримечательности Лондона". Тренировка чтения

На доске вывешены листы с информацией о достопримечательностях Лондона и картинки с видами Лондона. Участники обеих команд должны подобрать картинку к нужному описанию. В этом задание оценивается не только знание истории Лондона, но также и качество чтения участников 2-х команд.

- Now we'll find he text about the description of one of the picture and read the text. Who will choose the text and the picture and read it well that pupil will be a winner.

Teacher: Now you can see Big Ben. Let's remember a short rhyme about the clock.

Tick-tock
Tick-tock
This is Big Ben
Big Ben is a clock.
Day and night With all its might
Big Ben the clock
Says: "Tick-tock!".

3 конкурс: Тренировка Грамматики

Участники обеих команд получают карточки со словами 3-х предложений (чтобы не было путаницы слова, относящиеся к разным предложениям, написаны разными цветами) надо правильно построить предложение - Well now consist your write sentences.

Для 1-й команды:

Do, the country's, where, leaders speak?

The funeral service, where, did, for Diana, take place?

Can, people, at 6 o'clock, hear what?

Для 2-й команды:

The Queen, stay, in, London, does, of Britain, where?

England, of, what, is, a symbol?

A cruel, has, what, history?

После выполнения задания учитель проверяет правильность построенных вопросов, и участники 1-й команды поочередно задают их ребятам из 2-й команды. (Затем наоборот)
