Мероприятие приурочено к празднованию католического Рождества и Нового года. Оно проводится в форме концерта с номерами учащихся начальной школы. Дети заранее готовят номера: песни, стихи и сценки на английском языке.
Цели мероприятия:
- практика навыков устной речи, а также лексико-грамматических навыков.
- развитие кругозора и познавательных интересов учащихся.
- повышение мотивации изучения английского языка.

1. Начало мероприятия
Ведущий (читает под музыку): В тридевятом царстве, в английском государстве жил-был король и три его дочери принцессы!
Старшая дочь была страстная любительница королевских вечеринок, танцев и веселья.
(Звучит музыка выбегает старшая дочь, пританцовывая).
Средняя - очень романтичная принцесса. Ни дня не могла прожить без стихов и песен.
(Выходит держа книгу в руках и произносит: "To be or not to be, that is the question).
А младшая - и вовсе капризная натура! Угодить ей-очень сложная задача. Всегда печальна и грустна.
И вот принцессы стали загадывать новогодние желания.
Старшая: I want to have a big Christmas party with a lot of fun.
Средняя: And I have only one dream: to hear a lot of poems.
Младшая: Hm…..I never know what I want. (начинает плакать)
Старшая: Don't cry…darling. We will bring you a lot of sweets.
Младшая: No..
Средняя: May be flowers…
Младшая: No..
Toys, dolls, books, board games (по очереди, на все принцесса отрицательно качает головой и плачет)
Младшая (вытирая слезы): Now I know…I want to see a fairy tale.
Средняя и старшая вместе, хватаясь за голову: Oh…my god.
(уходят со сцены)
Ведущий (под музыку):Так принцесса захотела увидеть сказку! И помочь сможете только вы ребята! Покажем младшей принцессе настоящие новогодние сказки, для средней прочтем стихи, а для старшей станцуем зажигательные танцы!
2. Ход мероприятия
На сцену приглашаются:
1. Ученики 1 класса с песней "Penguin Dance Song"
Put your hands up in the air and shake your booties round

2. Ученики 4 класса исполнят сказку "The gingerbread man".

Narrator: Once upon a time there was an old woman, an old man a little girl and a little boy. (Выходят на сцену, здороваются). Christmas was coming.
Grandma: Christmas day, happy day
Grandpa: We are glad and very gay
Little girl: We all dance and sing and say
Little boy: Welcome, welcome Christmas day!
Narrator: Christmas was coming, so the children asked their Grandma to make some holiday cookies.
Little girl: Grandma, grandma let's make some cookies.
Little boy: we want some Christmas cookies please.

Grandma: Help me please to make the Christmas cookies!
Little girl: Ok! We need some flour, and some milk.
Little boy: Two eggs, some sugar and butter.
The boy and girl pretend to mix and bake the cookies, using spoons, a bowl, and a pan.
Narrator: So they made some wonderful gingerbread man cookies and put them in the oven.
Grandma: Keep an eye on the cookies!
Grandpa: And don't open the oven.

While the chorus repeats the song a second time, the little boy and girl sit down on either side of the oven and pretend to watch the cookies bake.

Little boy: Lets open the oven, I am so hungry!
Little girl: Ok!
Narrator: So they opened the oven and out popped the Gingerbread man.
G.Man: I am a gingerbread man. I can run really fast!
Little girl: Grandma, grandma, the cookie ran away!
Little boy: You told us not to open, but we did not obey!
Narrator: The gingerbread man ran away singing this song…

Narrator: The Old Man, Old Woman and the children ran fast but they couldn't catch the gingerbread man. And soon they had to sit down to rest. (Уходят со сцены и садятся).
Now some farmers working nearby saw the gingerbread man running down the street. He looked delicious and they were hungry.
Farmer1: We are farmers.
F2: We are very hungry.
F3: Lookie lookie theres a cookie, running down the street!
F1: Stop gingerbread man!
F2: You are delicious and nutritious!
F3: We want to eat you!!
Narrator: But the gingerbread man ran away singing…

Narrator: The farmers Ran after the gingerbread man as fast as they could but they couldn't catch him. (Уходят).
Next the gingerbread man passed by three bears.
Вear1: We are farmers.
В2: We are very hungry.
В3: Lookie lookie theres a cookie, running down the street!
В1: Stop gingerbread man!
В2: You are delicious and nutritious!
В3: We want to eat you!!
Narrator: But the gingerbread man ran away singing…

Narrator: The bears Ran after the gingerbread man as fast as they could but they couldn't catch him. (Уходят)
Finally the gingerbread man passed by a hungry fox. The gingerbread man looked delicious and the fox was very hungry.
Fox: I am a fox! I am so hungry!! And I like cookies! Stop gingerbread man!
Come a little closer, I really cannot hear you!

Narrator: So the gingerbread man got a little closer and repeated a little more loudly
Gingerbread man: Run, run as fast as you can! You can't catch me,I am the gingerbread man!

Narrator: But the clever fox pretended not to hear him!
Fox: Come a little closer! I really cannot hear you!
Дети повторяют пятую песню.
Narrator: So the gingerbread man got a little closer and shouted right in the fox's ear
Gm. Run, run as fast as you an you can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man!
Narrator: The fox grabs the g.m. and dragged him away to his den. And so that was the end of the gingerbread man.

Ведущий: Тем временем принцессы стали собираться на новогодний балл, собирались, украшались, наряжались.
Старшая: What a nice dress on me! I will be the most beautiful girl at the party!
Средняя: And I read so many books…I will be the most intelligent and romantic.
Младшая (плачет): And I'm ugly and silly. I shouldn't go to the party.
Средняя: Oh….dear! What are you talking about. You are pretty and clever!
Старшая: Don't worry! We will find a prince for you.
Младшая: A prince! That's a good idea!
Ведущий: И вот принцессы закружись в танце! Ребята, вставайте с ваших мест, станцуем вместе с принцессами! (Танец Hokey-Pokey)
6. Ученики 3 класса со сценкой "The little house"
(Выбегает Мышка - Mouse. Замечает теремок, подходит к нему)
Mouse: Wow! What a nice house! Knock! Knock! Knock! Who lives in the house? Nobody, I can live in the house.
(Выпрыгивает Лягушонок - Frog. Подходит к теремку)
Frog: What a nice house! Knock! Knock! Knock! Who lives in the house?
(Мышка, выглядывая из теремка)
Mouse: I am a Mouse. I live in the house. Who are you?
Frog: I am a Frog. I can swim and jump. (На словах swim - «плавает», jump-«прыгает»)
Mouse: Very good. Come in. (Лягушонок заходит в теремок)
(Выпрыгивает зайчик - Hare. Подходит к теремку)
Hare: What a nice house! Knock! Knock! Knock! Who lives in the house?
Mouse: I am a Mouse.
Frog: I am a Frog.
Mouse: Who are you?
Hare: I am a Hare. I jump
Mouse: Very good. Come in.
(Выбегает Петушок - Cock. Подходит к теремку)
Cock: What a nice house! Knock! Knock! Knock! Who lives in the house?
Mouse: I am a Mouse.
Frog: I am a Frog.
Hare: I am a Hare.
Mouse: Who are you?
Cock: I am a Cock. Let's go! (Под музыку дети делают зарядку и поют)

(Выходит медведь - Bear, собирает цветы)

Cock: I am a Cock.
Mouse: Who are you?
Bear: I am a Bear. Look at my flowers: red, yellow, white, blue, pink. (Дарит цветы своим новым друзьям). Let's Sing!
(Звери выходят на полянку и поют «If you happy, happy»)

3. Завершение мероприятия
Ведущий: Натанцевались, навеселились наши принцессы, а сейчас самое время ждать новогодних чудес!
Старшая: Everything was fantastic! I liked the party so much!
Средняя: And I really liked kids' songs, fairy tales and poems!
Младшая (грустно): there is one more thing we didn't see this year.
Средняя: What are you talking about?
Вместе: Father Frost!!!
Ведущий: Ребята, встречаем главных гостей этого праздника: Деда мороза и снегурочку.
Выходят Дед мороз и Снегурочка!
Снегурочка:
С Новым годом поздравляем
И наказ мы вам даем:
Чтоб вы были все здоровы,

Дед Мороз:
