Warming-up activities

T: Good morning, boys and girls! My name is Anastasiya Victorovna, I'm from Tyumen State University. Glad to see you. I would like you to wear badges for my lessons so that I can call you by your name. Let's start our lesson. (T→Cl)

Look at the blackboard, please. What do you see in the picture? (Harry Potter). Who loves Harry Potter films and books? Okay, have you ever heard of Merlin? Is he mentioned in books and films? (Yes).

What proverb is associated with Merlin? (Merlin's Beard)

4. Основная часть урока

Введение новой лексики, необходимой для успешного усвоения текста.

Let's play a game! Who has the green card goes to the first team and who has red card goes to the second one. One person from the team comes up and translates the card. If translated correctly, the team gets 1 point. If it is wrong - zero points.

Listen and try to understand and remember the information about these characters. (Дети слушают текст один раз).

Развитие умений монологической речи + рассказывать о себе.

I give you cards that say who you are. Imagine that you are: Merlin, Arthur ... I want you to tell us a few facts about yourself. You may see the example on the slide. Use the text on page 88. (Дети готовят устный ответ в течение 1-2 минут и говорят 1-2 предложения).
