printed materials, cut out cards, divide children in pairs, organize mingling

Procedure:

Step 1. Match

Step 2. Order the words. Make the questions

Step 3. Mingling

Make questions. Ask 3 friends.

1. …….. eat lunch?
2. ………live in a house or a flat?
3. …….. colour/ front door?
4. ………people in your flat?
5. Where………..you/do homework?

Step 4. Ask a question for the underlined word

1. Lucy works with her brother.
2. Sam's secret thing is in the box under the bed.
3. There are twenty students in Henry's class?
4. Daisy likes painting flowers?
5. Mum buys a magazine for Charlie.

Step 6. Work in pairs. Make the questions. Ask your friend

Variation(s)

Step 1 - can be matching with answers
Step 2 - can be held in pairs. One person asks questions, the second - answers them.

Reflections

Step 3. Mingling is difficult to check for the teacher
Steps 5-6 can be held in pairs. It's better because it gives the pupils the opportunity to speak during the whole lesson, but it can be difficult to correct them. I think it's better to discuss the common mistakes with the whole class.
