Цели и задачи урока
Образовательные:
- развитие лексических и речевых навыков описания внешности;
- совершенствование навыков чтения;
- активизация ранее изученной лексики по теме «Внешность»;
- знакомство с героями и авторами английских сказок.
Развивающие:
- развитие памяти, мышления, развитие самостоятельности при выполнении заданий;
- создать условия для развития навыков аудирования, извлечения необходимой информации при восприятии предложений на слух;
- развивать навыки говорения: закрепление навыков монологического высказывания.
Воспитательные:
- содействовать активному взаимодействию детей друг с другом;
- приобщать к литературе изучаемого языка;
- создать условия для повышения интереса к участию в коммуникации на иностранном языке.
Оборудование урока:
- Техническое обеспечение (компьютер, колонки, мультимедийный видеопроектор, экран).
- Раздаточный материал (рисунки с заданиями для конкурсов).
- Портреты детских английских писателей.
- Аудиозапись песни «Head and Shoulders».
Ход урока
I. Организационный момент. Приветствие
Teacher: Good morning, children!
Pupils: Good morning, teacher!
Teacher: I’m glad to see you. How are you today?
Pupils: We are fine, thank you.
Teacher: Today we are going to discuss appearance of different characters from English fairy tales. Also we will learn some of famous English writers.
II. Фонетическая зарядка
Teacher: Let’s prepare our tongues for English sounds. Listen to the story about magic storyteller and repeat the sounds after me.
III. Актуализация ранее полученных знаний
Игра “Touch your…”
Teacher: Let’s revise parts of body. Stand up, please and touch your … (head, ears, mouth, eyes, nose, hands, toes, hair, feet).
Pupils: показывают части тела, которые называет учитель.
III. Основная часть урока (конкурсы)
1. «Body parts»
Teacher: Look at the picture. Who’s she?
Pupils: Alice!
Teacher: You are perfectly right! She is Alice in wonderland! Everybody knows this fairy tale. But do you know that it’s an English fairy tale? It was written by English writer Lewis Carroll. Look at his portrait.
Is Alice beautiful? What parts of body has she got? You should fill in the missing words (spelling).
2. «Characters of fairy-tales»
Teacher: Look at the picture. These are characters of famous English fairy-tales. Their appearance is very interesting, let’s discuss it. Do you know this fairy tale?
Pupils: Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends.
Teacher: Right you are! What are their names?
Pupils: Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, Roo.
Teacher: Yes! Good of you! Do you know who wrote this fairy tale? An English author Alan Milne. This is his portrait.
Teacher: Let’s discuss their appearance. What eyes have they got? Have they got big or small ears? What about their noses? Have they got dark or fair hair? Are they funny?
Pupils: Piglet is small. He’s got black eyes. His nose is small too. He’s got big pink ears. He is very funny.
(Учащиеся описывают всех героев сказки)
Teacher: What character do you like best of all?
Pupils: I like Winnie-the-Pooh (Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, Roo) very much.
Физминутка
Teacher: You’ve worked very well. I think you are tired. Now, let’s have a rest! Let’s sing and dance (song «Head, shoulders, knees and toes»)
3. “Let’s draw”
Teacher: Now, let’s draw! Look at your pictures. Do you guess who’s he?
Pupils: He’s a clown.
Teacher: You are perfectly right! But he hasn’t got a face, let’s draw it!
Pupils: рисуют лицо по описанию, которое диктует учитель.
Teacher:
The clown has got big ears.
He’s got red hair.
He’s got big green eyes.
He’s got a small nose.
He’s got a big red mouth. He’s happy.
You can colour the clown’s hat and bow for your taste.
Now let’s make exhibition of your drawings.
VII. «Help Balu»
Teacher: Look at the picture. Let’s talk about another English fairy tale. Do you know it? (Учитель показывает иллюстрацию с героями сказки «Книга Джунглей»).
Pupils: It’s «The Jungle Book».
Teacher: Well done! This fairy tale was written by an English writer Rudyard Kipling. Look at his portrait.
Look at this character (учитель показывает иллюстрацию с медведем Балу). Do you remember him?
Pupils: Yes! He is Baloo.
Teacher: Good of you! Balu wants to tell about his appearance, but he makes some mistakes. Let’s find them and correct. Read the sentences and choose “yes” or “no”.
1) I’ve got small ears. Yes / No
2) I’ve got big blue eyes. Yes / No
3) I’m small. Yes / No
4) I’ve got big hands. Yes / No
5) I’ve got small feet. Yes / No
IV. Подведение итогов урока
Teacher: Well, children. We have done a lot today! We have learned how to describe the appearance of different people and animals. Also we have learned some of famous English writers.
