Travelling is the best time to spend holidays. 7-й класс

Подготовить и провести урок по преподаваемому предмету 1 сентября значительно сложнее, чем придумать и провести классный час по заданной теме, потому что и учитель, и его ученики появляются в школе после продолжительных каникул и еще не готовы к полноценным занятиям. Еще сложнее, если учитель - новый человек в этой школе. Тогда нужно и подать себя, и узнать на что способны твои будущие ученики. Поэтому, логично было бы предложить ребятам вспомнить недавнее лето, а, заодно, активизировать словарный запас по теме "Путешествия" и грамматические структуры настоящего и прошедшего времен (Present Simple, Present Perfect, Past Simple). Именно это и предлагается в настоящем плане урока для 7 класса. Класс не делится на группы, оба учителя ведут урок.

Introduction (3-5 минут) Учителя здороваются с классом и поочередно представляются и говорят о себе несколько слов. Объясняется задача на следующий урок и говорится о сегодняшнем.

(For example, 'Good morning everybody. My name is ... and this school year I'll be your English teacher.')

Next lesson you'll have a test to divide your class into 2 groups. But today we have an outstanding lesson where we try to remind our English speaking skills on the topic "Travelling".

Warming up (3-5 минут) Вспоминаем лексику по теме "Travelling". На доске записывается слово "travelling" и от него рисуются лучи и записываются слова, связанные с темой.

What words come into your mind when you hear the word "travel"? (transportation/transport, hotel/hostel/motel/tent, resort/tour/cruise/hitchhiking, sea/river/lake, airport/railway station, directions, sights/attractions/places of interest, baggage/suitcase/luggage, weather, etc.)

Main part (25-35 минут) Поинтересоваться, где учащиеся побывали в летние каникулы и разделить класс на 3 группы (путешествие за границу, путешествие по России, поездка к родным/на дачу)

Where did you go on holiday? (ask 3-5 students + questions 1, 2, 3 from the holiday conversation questions). (см. Приложение 1)

Now we ask you to divide into 3 groups according to your travellings. The first row is for students who travelled abroad, the second - for students who travelled in Russia, the third - for students who visited their relatives/grandparents or stayed in their country houses/dachas.

На первую парту каждого ряда ставится табличка "лицом к учащимся" (всего 3 таблички: We travelled abroad; We travelled in Russia; We travelled nearby). Учащиеся меняются местами. Если ученик побывал за лето в нескольких местах, то он сам выбирает ряд.

Task1 When you're going to travel some of you go to the airport, others stay at a hotel and most of you ask directions to get to somewhere. Here there are 3 dialogues.

Make up the dialogue from the mixed lines, read it out and guess the title of it. (5 минут) Don't forget the intonation during reading. (Заранее распечатайте, разрежьте и соберите каждый из диалогов)

Now we ask students of each row make the groups of 4-5 people. (Учащиеся каждого ряда делятся на 2 подгруппы по 4-5 человек).

Task2 Answer our 4 questions for each group. Please, listen to your friends' answers and don't interrupt them. (Teachers read questions from the holiday conversation list)

Task3 Make up a (comic) story of your group travelling (один от каждого ряда или подгруппы рассказывает или зачитывает рассказ). Каждой группе выдается лист А4 с началами предложений, где учащиеся составляют рассказ и дополняют его рисунками (5-7 минут).

We would like you to remember all pleasure feelings you had in summer. So don't forget that our world is unique and wonderful. (Пока учащиеся выполняют задание включить песню Луи Армстронга "What a wonderful world")

Conclusion (5-7 минут) Объяснить домашнее задание, подвести итоги урока, отметить особо активных учащихся, поощрить "молчунов", попрощаться.

One of them is for positive letter, the other is for negative one. Take out one postcard you like and using as many adjectives as you can describe your best or worst holiday. For example, hotel might be too expensive, uncomfortable (for negative) or pleasant, quiet (for positive). (см. Приложение 2)

Unfortunately our lesson is over and we would like to mark some of you with the best mark "5". They are: (list of students).
