Игра может проводиться как в рамках внеклассного мероприятия, так и в рамках аудиторного занятия по теме “Страна изучаемого языка. Великобритания”.

Ведущий: Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to our game! Our game is devoted to European traditions. We shall see if you know much in geography and in history of European countries and if you are the best in English in your groups and may be in our college.

Now attention please! With all my pleasure, I introduce our guests!
Thank you for coming!
Now let me introduce our secretary (преподаватель). She will check up your answers for the questions, will see if they are correct and will compute your points.
The rules are easy.
You must answer for the questions. If you give a correct answer, our secretary will nod (кивает). If you do a mistake, you will hear the bell (звонит) and your rival will have a chance.
Please, do not be in a hurry! Be very attentive!
Now some words for our guests. May I speak Russian? Thank you!

Итак, правила просты:
За каждый правильный ответ команда получает 1 балл. Будьте внимательны! Если ответ правильный, то наш секретарь кивнет, если же ответ неправильный, то вы услышите звон колокольчика. Тогда право ответа перейдет к вашим соперникам, и у них появится шанс получить дополнительный балл.

Europe occupies a large area to the West of Europe. The UK, France, Germany and other countries constitute the Community of Europe. The total area of Europe is 5,1 million square kilometers with a population of 500 million. The climate of Europe is mild. It is typically maritime. The winters are warm, the summers are cool and the weather is very changeable. There are many rivers and beautiful lakes in Europe. Canals connect many of them. Many large cities are situated on the rivers. London, the capital of Great Britain, is in the valley of the Thames. Paris is on the banks of the Seine, Berlin is on the Spree. There are some monarchies in Europe but the power of Kings or Queens is limited by Parliaments. Every country in Europe is a highly developed industrial country. Almost half of European’s population is engaged in industry. Shipbuilding, machine building, electronic engineering now are the main branches of European industry.

Ведущий: Раунд болельщиков. Слушаем нашего секретаря!

Секретарь: May I speak Russian? Thank you.

Ваша задача заключается в следующем: внимательно выслушав меня, попытаться понять о чем я буду говорить, определив значение моих жестов. Вам предложено несколько значений жестов. (Приложение 2) Вам нужно пронумеровать их в порядке появления в моем рассказе.

Итак, будьте внимательны! (Читает текст на французском языке.)

Bonjour tout le monde ! J'ai une petite histoire a vous raconter. Mon ami s'appelle Jacques. C'est mon meilleur ami et je l'aime de tout mon c?ur (жест). Hier je l'ai rencontre dans la rue. Il m'a apercu et m'a appelle (жест). Nous avons bavarde un peu de son frere cadet. Il est sympathique mais pas serieux. Il est tres malin (жест) et il aime raconter les histoires, qui sont pas veritables (жест). De plus il est buveur (жест). Il ne refuse jamais de causer avec une bouteille (жест). Je n'aime pas cette sorte des gens (жест). On a fait ses adieux le plus vite possible et je lui ai promis de l'appeler plus tard (жест).

Итак, жесты были следующие (молча повторяются все жесты).

In England, the weather is very changeable; a fine morning may change into a wet afternoon and evening. And a miserable morning may change to a fine afternoon. The two worst months in Britain are January and February. One may get many cold wet days one after the other. The best place in the world then is at home by the big fire. The coldest weather of all, when it freezes night after night and remains cold during the day, is much more pleasant than the wet weather. In winter, the snow falls and covers the streets and fields. Boys like snow; they make balls of it and go "snowballing"—throwing them at passers-by or at one another. Sometimes the members of a family go out and make a big figure of snow—a snowman. They put an old pipe in its mouth and a hat on its head.When two Englishmen meet, they often begin their conversation talking about the weather. The weather is always a topic for conversation and a good one.
