Цели урока:
- практический аспект – иллюстрация студентам практического применения знаний посредством создания совместного творческого проекта "Разработка экскурсионного маршрута по родному городу Кондрово";
- развивающий аспект – развитие познавательных исследовательских способностей студентов, способности в устной форме излагать информацию (подготовленная/неподготовленная речь);
- познавательный/социокультурный аспект
- расширение объема знаний студентов о родном крае;
- формирование информационной, языковой и коммуникативной компетенций студентов в ходе осуществления сбора информации по заданной проблеме;
- воспитательный аспект – мотивирование студентов к самостоятельной работе, развитие умений работать в сотрудничестве и принимать свои решения.
Задачи урока:
1. (учебно-образовательная)
- расширить языковые возможности студентов по теме "Kondrovo is My Native Town" за счет индивидуальных заданий;
- создать учебные ситуации, мотивирующие студентов на применение ранее изученных тем: "The Beginning of the Lesson", "About Myself", "Let Me Introduce Myself", "The Kondrovo Industrial – Pedagogical College", "Asking the Way";
- показать студентам возможность практического применения разговорных тем в устной речи;
- проверить выполнение домашнего задания;
2. (развивающая)
- развивать навыки студентов в устной (монологической/диалогической, подготовленной/неподготовленной) речи, чтении, аудировании;
3. (воспитательная)
- воспитывать в студентах исполнительность, ответственность, добросовестность, чувство коллективизма;
- воспитывать в студентах культуру общения;
- способствовать росту интереса студентов к истории и современности родного города, края, воспитывать чувства патриотизма и любви к малой родине.
Форма урока: проект (практико-ориентированный краткосрочный монопроект с открытой координацией, фронтальной, групповой, индивидуальной и парной работой студентов).
Тип урока: комбинированный.
Место урока: 10-й из 18-ти.
Длительность работы над проектом: 45 минут.

Результат продукта деятельности студентов: презентация экскурсионного маршрута по теме " Kondrovo is My Native Town".

I. Организационный этап.
1. Приветствие.
2. Разговор с дежурным (преподаватель - студенты, дежурный студент- студенты группы).
3. Представление гостей.
4. Целеполагание ( преподаватель, студенты).
II. Основной этап – выстраивание экскурсионного маршрута.
1. Задание:
а) Teacher: Предложите этапы экскурсионного маршрута (фронтальная работа): History – Geography – Nature – Victory Square –t he KIP College - Sports Palace.
2. Задания:
а) Teacher: Look through the texts and choose the headlines to them. (просмотрите два текста слайда и выберите для них соответствующие заглавия (фронтальный опрос):

From the history of 1501 we've learned the first name of Kondrovo as Kondirjovo. In 1925 Kondrovo was a factory housing estate. In 1938 Kondrovo got the status of a town. In 1941 the town was occupied by the German Troops. On January the 19th, 1942 the town was liberated from the occupation by our Western Military Forces.

There are many cities and towns in Russia. Kondrovo is one of them. Kondrovo was founded in the 16th century by Kondirjov. Kondirjovo was a small settlement on the Shanja River. Today Kondrovo is a modern town. Its population is 17 thousand people. I am proud of my native town.

1-й слайд: History.
Teacher: Look at the slide. First speak, then read the sentences and after that render the main information in Russian.
The Students:
a) Kondrovo Historical Landmarks (смотри текст 1).
б) The History of Kondrovo (смотри текст 2).
2-й слайд: Geography.
The student: Kondrovo is my native town. It is a small district town with a population of 17 thousand people. Kondrovo is an administrative, industrial and cultural centre of the Dzerzhinsk District of the Kaluga Region. It is located in a distance of 160 kilometres from Moscow.
3-й слайд: Nature.
The student: Kondrovo is situated in the European part of Russia. There are many wild forests around. The forests are full of wild animals and birds. We can gather berries and mushrooms in the forests. There are many short and long rivers around. We can fish and swim in the rivers. The nature is wonderful.
4. Учебная ситуация.
Teacher: You've met a foreigner at the bus-station. He asked you the way to Victory Square. Explain it to him, please. (К вам на автовокзале подходит человек и обращается на английском языке. Он спрашивает вас: "Kак мне попасть на площадь Победы?" Вы ему объясняете на английском языке.)
а) Задание: назовите фразы, которые могли бы прозвучать в вашем диалоге с ним (фронтальный опрос - фонзарядка):

5. 4-й слайд. Monuments.
Teacher: Every year on the 9th of May the students of our college with the citisens of the town Kondrovo put flowers to the Monuments of the Great Patriotic War of 1942 – 1945.
A student: Kondrovo is an old town. It is 6 hundred years old. Its history is great. There were many historical events in its great history. Some monuments are devoted to them. In front of the administrative office you can see a monument to Kondirjov. Kondirjov was the founder of our town. There is a monument to A.Pushkin in Kondrovo. Four monuments are devoted to the Great Patriotic War of 1941 – 1945.

7. 5-й слайд. The Kondrovo Industrial - Pedagogical College.
а) Ситуация.
Teacher: The foreigner has reached the college. He is at the English lesson now. He is eager to learn about it. Four students (two boys from your group and two girls from the BK- 21 group) will perform a scene.

Ролевая игра (полилог.)
Действующие лица:
- гость-иностранец (студент D с подготовленными вопросами);
- группа студентов, представителей групп механиков и технологов (A, B, C).
Ход игры
1) " Let me introduce myself..." ("Знакомство").
A: How do you do? My name is Andrei. I'm a student. I study at the college. Its name is the Kondrovo Industrial – Pedagogical College.
I'm a mechanic.
B: My name is Inna. I'm the second-year student. I'm a technologist. I study at the college. It got its name in July, 2008. The college has two departments: Mechanic – Technological and Pedagogical. There is a library, a canteen and a hostel in the college.
C: And my name is Marina. I'm the second-year student and I study at this college too.
D: Oh, I'm pleased to meet you. My name in Tom. Could you answer my questions, please?
2) "How can I become a highly qualified specialist?" ("Как стать высоко квалифицированным специалистом?").
D: What professions can a young person get at the college?
C: A young person can get any profession he or she likes: an electrician, a mechanic, a technologist, a tractor-driver, а builder or a teacher.
D: What entrance exams do young people take?
C: They take entrance examinations in Math and Russian.
D: What school subjects do the students study at college?
A: They study Chemistry, Physics, Math, Literature, English, Technical Drawing, Special Subjects and others.
D: Where do the students have there practice?
B: The students have their practice in the laboratories of the college, at the industrial enterprises and schools of the town. After graduating from the college every student has a chance to become a highly qualified specialist.
D: Thank you very much for the information.

8. 6-й слайд. Sport Palace.
Teacher: The students of our college like sports. They have many awards in running, skiing, football, shooting and other kind of sports. They attend sports palace.
The student: We have a sport centre . It is the Palace of Sports. The palace is situated in Labour Street. There is a stadium near the palace. Many students come here to play football, hockey, and tennis. Our students take active part in sports events and have many awards.
9. 7-й слайд. Аудирование текста "Alexander Yakovlevich Hinchin".
Teacher: We can hardly even mention the names of all outstanding people who lived, work or born in the Dzerzhinsk District and in Kondrovo in particular. Among them were Fyodor Stepun (a philosopher and a statesman), Pafnuty Chebyshev (an outstanding mathematician), Alexander Hinchin and others. Today I'm going to tell you about one of them. His name is Alexander Yakovlevich Hinchin.

Alexander became a great mathematician and wrote 130 books and articles in Math. For his work A.Y.Hinchin was awarded many awards. A.Y.Hinchin died in 1959.
