Тип урока: урок повторения и систематизации знаний с использованием ИКТ.

Цель урока: систематизировать знания учащихся по теме “Семья”.

Задачи:

  • тренировать умение вести общение на английском языке в предлагаемых ситуациях;
  • тренировать учащихся в употреблении знакомых лексических единиц и грамматических структур, а так же разговорные выражения в монологической и диалогической речи;
  • воспитывать чувство любви и уважения к семье, к родителям, к изучаемому языку.

Оборудование:

Type of the lesson:  repetition and systematization of knowledge  using   ICT.

Aim of the lesson: to systematize the knowledge of the students on the topic “Family”.

Tasks of the lesson:

  • to train the ability to communicate in English in the proposed situations;
  • to train students to  use  familiar lexical units and grammatical structures and expressions in their speech;
  • to teach pupils to  love and respect  their  families,  parents  and learning language.

Course of the lesson:

1. Warm up

– Hi, my dear friends. I’m glad to see you. How are you? What day is it today? ...
– At the lesson we’ll revise our theme “My family”. We’ll talk about family. Let’s start our lesson with our warm-up activities.

2. Phonetics

– OK. You know some poems about the members of the family. I want you to start reciting these poems together. (Приложение 1 < Слайд 1>).

Father, mother,
Sister, brother
Hand in hand
With one another…

3. Vocabulary and grammar

– Of course, you remember adjectives which you can use to describe the members of your family. Look and read correctly. (Приложение 1  <Слайды 2-4>).

Sociable, rude, polite, obedient,
clever, naughty, friendly, shy, stupid, noisy,
brave, athletic,  quiet, loving, curious, kind, independent,
responsible, intelligent, creative, talkative,
well, untidy, happy

4. The game

– I know everybody  likes playing. And now let’s play a bit. Give the opposite meaning of these adjectives.

Teacher – Pupils
unhappy – happy
Shy – brave
Polite – rude, impolite
Kind – cruel
Unfriendly – friendly
Independent – dependent
Unlucky – lucky
Non-athletic – athletic
Obedient – naughty
Clever – stupid
Real – unreal
Pleasant – unpleasant
Noisy – quiet

5. The game «Snowball»

– Children, let's play the game «Snowball» and remember the English adjectives. The person who doesn't know what to say or makes a mistake in the story comes out of the game. The person who says the longest chain of words will be the winner. Let's start.

Example:

– clever;
– clever and shy;
– clever, shy and loving;
– clever, shy, loving and bright;
– clever, shy, loving, bright and brave;
– clever, shy, loving, bright, brave and naughty. Etc.

6. Let`s have a rest

– Stand up, please.  I`ll name the parts of the body and you`ll show them. Let`s start.    

 7. Speaking

– The next game to play is «Agree or disagree». Listen to .my statements, please. If you agree, you will repeat my statement. If you disagree, correct the sentence.

– Your sister is very naughty. (I disagree with you. My sister is not very naughty.)
Your mother is sociable. (I agree with you. My mother is sociable.)
– Your friends are curious and have a good sense of humor. (I agree with you. My friends are curious and have a good sense of humor.)
– You are shy and unfriendly. (I disagree with you. I am not shy and unfriendly.)
Your brother is brave. (I agree with you. My brother is brave.)
– Your father is not polite. (I agree with you. My father is polite.)
You are nonathletic. (I disagree with you. I am athletic.) Etc.

8. Listening

9. Vocabulary control

– To sum up our lesson, please, divide into two groups. I`ll give you cards with the same tasks.  The team which does the tasks first will be the winner.

1) Now let`s describe different families. You should look and match the words to the definitions. (Приложение 2)

  • Hospitable.       This family likes to invite the guests and spend their time with them
  • Caring               A mother and a father care about their children.
  •  Loving               In this family everybody loves each other.
  • Traditional         This family has traditional things such as spending their time in the nature, at sports, arranging family parties.  
  • International       His mother is German and his father is English.
  • Doing things together      This family does all the things together.

2) Next year her school is going to arrange an English-Russian exchange. She wrote a letter to us because she wants to make friends with you. It is very interesting! I want you to read the letter and fill in the missing words. (Приложение 3).

Fill in the gaps with these words: typical, a teacher, naughty, family, serious, sense of  humour, brother, independent, close, get along well.

Dear friends,
Thank you for your letter. It was so nice to hear from you!
I would like to tell you about my family. We are a typical English family. We are a close family and get along well with each other. My mother is a teacher, and my father is a manager. I have got a brother, who is 5 years older than me, and a sister, who is 3 years younger than me. My sister is very naughty. As for my brother, he is very serious and understanding. As for me, I am a ten-year old student. I think I am independent, curious and have a good sense of humour.
