Host (pointing to the screen): These are the famous people we have chosen. These are the people who made miracles.

Ch. Darwin: Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Charles Robert Darwin. I was born in Shrewsbury, England, in 1809. I devoted all my life to natural science. I created the theory of “transmutation” which other scientist called “evolution”. I suppose one species is slowly changing into another. But I`ve never persisted in saying anything specific about the evolution of human beings. Some other people decided that humans, like all other living things, were descended from some primitive creature, for instance, a monkey. [Monkeys` dancing. Ch. Darwin watches it, then says:

Could we believe this? I don`t think so.

Hostess: Ideas of peace and mercy, cooperation and responsibility usually appear simultaneously in different places.

Host: One of the best examples is the appearance of two famous military nurses during the Crimean war of 1853-1856.

Nightingale: My name is Florence Nightingale.

D: I didn`t have a chance to study anywhere, the war began when I was only 15.

N: I wasn`t proud of my work when I heard the voice of God calling me to do His work.

D: When I heard that there was going to be a battle on the river Alma, I cut my plaits, put on a sailor`s uniform and set out to the river to help the wounded and sick defenders of Sebastopol.

Both N and D: Nursing was our high calling.

N: I saved thousands of lives in the Crimean war. I wrote home on behalf of the soldiers. I sent the men`s wages home to their families.

D: I arranged the first field aid post with my own linen vinegar and wine.

Soldier: (A soldier with a stump comes up to D.)Our dearest sister! You`ve spent your green years washing our wound! You`ve worked so hard! Take this icon with the image of our savior as a sign of our gratitude! God will bless you!

Song “Hallelujah”

Well I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah (4 раза)

Well Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
she tied you to her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah (4 раза)

Host: in the second world war there were 61 belligerent countries and over 60 mln dead alone.

(On the screen there are photos of the Gr. Patriotic War)

Song: (translated by O. Prilipko)

Fire and shooting and fascists again
Bombs explode 3 nights and 3 days
And in this black and white photo
Hugging together we stay

Oh, these clouds in the blue
Look like the sea and seagulls
Let it forever stay with us
Where together will we dance
Where together will be hearts
Where together will we dance

Where together will be hearts
Forever.
If I survive all this horror and war
Meet shall we, dear, not far from your door
Only when I’m still fighting
Don’t forget, love me more!
Oh, these clouds in the blue
Look like the sea and seagulls
Let it forever stay with us
Where together will we dance
Where together will be hearts
Where together will we dance

Where together will be hearts
Forever.

Hostess: Victory over fascism was the greatest deed of the 20th century. Thanks to this victory we can enjoy life, art and music.

(On the screen photos of Beetles)

One of the Beetles: Hi, everyone! We are going to tell you about the legend of the 20th century – the Beetles.

Song: Yesterday.

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it look as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday

Suddenly, I'm not half the man I used to be
There's a shadow hanging over me
Oh, yesterday came suddenly

Chorus:
Why she had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday

Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Song: Yellow submarine.

In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
In the land of submarines

So we sailed up to the sun
Till we found the sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine

We all live in our yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in our yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

And our friends are all on board
Many more of them live next door
And the band begins to play

We all live in our yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in our yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

As we live a life of ease
Everyone of us has all we need
Sky of blue and sea of green
In our yellow submarine.

We all live in our yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in our yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

We all live in our yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in our yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

Song: Don’t you know.

Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
And only Matthew in the sky,
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
And no religion too,
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I’m a dreamer,
But you’re not the only one,
We hope some day they should join us,
And the world will live as one.

Imagine no possessions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
Just a brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

With nothing to hate,
Nothing to think,
Just people in loving,
Friends to heartbreak...

You may say I’m a dreamer,
but I’m not the only one,
We hope some day you’ll join us,
And the world will live as one.

Hostess: (comes in with a cosmonaut) Now, friends, I’m sure you can easily recognize this man … Yes, it was Юрий Гагарин, a great Russian, who made history by being the first human to orbit the Earth. It happened on April the 12th 1961 when the first world’s spacecraft was launched in the USSR.

Gagarin: While orbiting the Earth, I saw how unique and marvelous it was. I felt we must protect and increase its beauty. Those 108 minutes changed the world and me, too. So, travelling around the world, I tried to share my emotions and ideas, and people flooded onto the streets to greet me as an envoy of peace.

Song: (translated by G. Azarova)

Don’t you know what sort of chap he was?
How he loved the native fields and woods!
In the distant steppe
Off the Earth first step
Was declaration of his love

“Here we go!” he simply said
And he waved his hand
Like along Peterskaya, Peterskaya
Tore above the Earth.

2) Don’t you know what sort of chap he was?
No, not “was”! For he defeated death
D’you hear distant thunder?
D’you see him walk along
To th’ space – vehicle launching site?

“Here we go!” he simply says,
As a star alive
Like along Peterskaya, Peterskaya
Tears above the Earth.

Hostess: All these outstanding people tried to teach us to be merciful, peaceful and respomsive, sensitive and tactful, and they called us to develop physically and spiritually.

Thank you for attention and support.
