Цели.

1) Введение лексики по теме “Суеверия”.

2) Закрепление грамматических навыков по теме “Герундий”.

3) Активизация навыков устной речи и аудирования по теме “Суеверия”.

4) обогатить содержание страноведческих знаний.

Оборудование: учебник (“Enjoy English” для 7 класса, М.З. Биболетова), компьютер, экран, мультимедиа - проектор.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент.

- Good morning, boys and girls! (Good morning, teacher!)

- Nice to see you again. (Nice to see you too.)

- How are you? (We are fine, thanks. And how are you?)

- Today we will begin to discuss the topic “Superstitions”. We will find out what superstitions you and your classmates believe in.

II. Речевая разминка.

- Our mood depends on our activities. Every day we do different things. Look at the board and name the activities. (Dancing, travelling, singing, playing football, skiing, playing computer games, reading).

- What do you like (enjoy) doing? What do you hate (gave up doing)? (I like playing computer games. I enjoy dancing. I hate skiing. I gave up singing.)

III. Закрепление грамматических навыков и устной речи.

- Open your books, page 19, exercise 49. Let’s read the examples and then complete the sentences in this exercise:

1. Would you mind…the door? (close)

2. Is she going to give up…tennis? (play)

3. I’ll have a cup of tea when I’ve finished…the letter. (write)

4. The great painter enjoyed…in this park. (walk)

5. She doesn’t like…. (travel)

6. Could you please stop…? (laugh)

7. My nephew hates…by heart. (learn)

- The next task for you is exercise 50, page 19. Make up sentences using the following verbs: enjoy, like, stop, love, give up, hate, finish, mind and –ing.

IV. Введение лексики по теме “Суеверия”.

- You can see two columns of words on the board. Will you read them aloud, in a whisper? Let’s read them after Liza. Can you match the words from the first column and the second one to make up the word combinations?

VI. Введение страноведческой информации. Тренировка навыков чтения.

- Different people have different superstitions. Do you want to know the British superstitions? Let’s read the information from the exercise 51, page 20 and decide if we have the same superstitions or not. (Установка для учащихся: сравнить суеверия из упр.51, стр.20 с русскими суевериями и сказать, существуют ли такие же или похожие суеверия в России.)

VII. Аудирование.

- Now let’s listen to the tape (ex.52 p.20). As you listen to the story complete the following sentences. The first letters of the missing words will help you.

1. You look s… and tired. W… happened?

2. We were o… of l… yesterday.

3. It’s usually a very u… day, isn’t it?

4. But the other team w… .

5. Or maybe they don’t b… in s… .

VIII. Тренировка навыков работы в группах.

- It’s time to find out what superstitions you and your friends believe and don’t believe in. Divide into groups of six and ask each student of your group. (ex.55 p.20).

- Your time is up. Finish your work, please. One student from each group will tell us about their superstitions using the information from the card.

X. Подведение итогов урока. Домашнее задание.

- What new information have you learnt today? What facts were interesting (unusual) for you?

- Your homework: ex.32, 36 p.30 in Student’s book. You have to make a list of your family superstitions for good luck and bad luck and write a scary story about one of them.
