- Научить применять в устной и письменной речи модальный глагол “can”, условное предложение 1-й степени
- Совершенствовать навыки монологической и диалогической речи
- Воспитать толерантное отношение к культуре страны изучаемого языка

Ход занятия
1. Good afternoon dear boys and girls! Today we’ll talk about our school and school subjects. First of all, answer my questions please. Do you like your school? Thank you very much for your answers.
Now I would like to give you some papers. Please, write down what school is connected with in your opinion.(ученики на бумажке пишут свои ассоциации, затем учитель на доске вывешивает и в итоге получается солнце) Well, let’s see your opinions. Now you see that we have the sun. What do you think why I made the sun? (ученики дают различные ответы)
2. Look at the blackboard. There are some new words for you.

5. Do you know anything about British pupils? Ok, let’s read the text about British pupils and after that we’ll compare ourselves with them. (Приложение 2)
British pupils spend much time at school. They can leave school at age of 16. They spend much time on homework. All British pupils wear school uniform. They take bus or car to go to school. In Britain, pupils like to wear good shirt and trainers from famous labels. They wear trainers for posing, but not for sport. After school pupils spend time online. They like to chat.

6. You have a lot of teachers. Some teachers are very kind and the others are very strict. And what would you do if you were a teacher? Please use the construction and continue the sentence: “ If I were a teacher I would ……. ”. You can use the expressions from the box. (Приложение 3)

7. Ok, children let’s talk about school rules. I’ll give you cards with expressions. Please, ask questions to each other using your expression and modal verb “can”. For example: Olya, Can you wear jeans at school? – Yes, I can or – No, I can’t
