Цели урока:

  1. Учебный аспект – способствовать развитию навыков монологической, диалогической речи, письма, восприятия речи на слух по теме “Welcome to Greenwich”
  2. Познавательный аспект – обеспечить знакомство учащихся с достопримечательностями Гринвича.
  3. Развивающий аспект – обеспечить условия для развития мыслительных способностей, объема памяти и умения вести беседу по заданной ситуации.
  4. Воспитательный аспект – способствовать формированию качеств гражданина – патриота, с одной стороны, и интернационалиста – с другой, воспитанию уважительного отношения к культуре и обычаям Великобритании.

Задачи урока:

  1. Ввести новый лексический материал и отработать его употребление в речи через систему коммуникативных упражнений.
  2. Развивать навыки аудирования с опорой на прослушанный текст и увиденный фильм.
  3. Практиковать учащихся в обсуждении прослушанного.
  4. Практиковать учащихся в составлении опросного листа (письменная речь)
  5. Познакомить учащихся с основными достопримечательностями Гринвича.

Оснащение урока: мультимедийный проектор, ноутбук, презентация, видео фильм.

Межпредметные связи: история, география

Тип урока: урок развития речевых умений.

Формы работы на уроке:

  • фронтальная;
  • парная;
  • индивидуальная.

Используемые технологии:

Педагогика сотрудничества (гуманно-личностная технология) (А.Ш. Амонашвили). Между учениками и учителем на уроке происходит диалог. В ходе изучения материала используются опорные схемы и таблицы.

Информационно-коммуникационные технологии (мультимедийная презентация как форма введения новых лексических единиц и речевых образцов, материала с информацией о достопримечательностях Гринвича, созданная на основе программы Power Point).

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент.

(на доске написана дата, тема урока “Welcome to Greenwich”и эпиграф к уроку“He that travels far knows much”-by John Clarke.) Приветствие и проверка готовности класса к уроку.

Good morning everybody. Sit down, please. I am glad to see you. I hope you are fine today. I can see that you are ready for our English lesson. Let’s start.

The theme of our lesson is “Welcome to Greenwich” (слайд 1)

II. Фонетическая зарядка.

In the beginning of our lesson you need to brush up your English. Let’s repeat some words, phrases and word combinations so that your English could really be good. As usual phonetic exercises for your tongue.

III. Речевая зарядка – “Беседа с учениками об интерпретации цитаты Джона Кларка.”

But today we are having an unusual lesson. (слайд 5)

Look at the screen where the quotation from John Clarke is written:  “He that travels far knows much”. I think these words can be the motto of our lesson. Let’s try to prove that Clarke was really right. What do you think about this quotation? How do you understand these words? What’s your opinion?

Затем ученики делают сообщения, подготовленные заранее по следующим темам к соответствующим слайдам(слайды 14–18).

For a long time Greenwich was “a see gate” of London. Nowadays Greenwich is London borough in the south-east of the British capital on the right bank of the Thames. What is Greenwich famous for?

Because of The Royal Observatory, you will say.

And you will be right.

Many famous astronomers worked there, and the Prime Meridian line runs through the building. All the other meridians are numbered East or West of the Prime Meridian.

And the Greenwich Observatory clock set the time for all the other clocks in the world. And the Greenwich Mean Time is the official starting point for each new day, year and millennium.

Today there is a museum in the old Observatory which is open to the public.

P2: The Cutty Sark (слайд 16)

At Greenwich you can see a beautiful old ship, one of the most famous old English sailing-ships. It is called The Cutty Sark. The Cutty Sark is a clipper ship. Built in 1869. It was destined for the tea trade. The Cutty Sark has been pserved in a dry dock by the river in Greenwich, London. It put on public display in 1954. A major fire in May 2007 destroyed a part of the ship. The Cutty Sark was removed for restoration. Nowadays it is open for visiting.

P3: The National Maritime Museum (слайд17) has a collection of more than 2 million items relating to seafaring, navigation, astronomy and time measurement.

Greenwich Park (слайд18) is a former hunting park in Greenwich and one of the largest green spaces in London. It is one of the Royal Parks of London, and covers 74 hectares.

Imagine, that you work for a Market Research company. You are asking people about their imagination of visiting Greenwich. Write down your questionnaire. Be ready in 5 minutes. Please, work in pairs.

VII. Подведение итогов. Домашнее задание.

Проверка достигнуты ли поставленные в начале урока цели.

Отвечая на вопросы учителя, ученики перечисляют, что нового они узнали и сделали на уроке.

В конце урока учитель благодарит учащихся за хорошие ответы, выставляет оценки и записывает на доске домашнее задание (слайды 23–24)
