Цель урока: повторение лексики и речевых клише по теме: «Pictures».
Задачи:
- Практические:
- развитие монологической и диалогической речи учащихся.
- развитие речевого умения – воспринимать иноязычную речь на слух.
- развитие общих и специальных учебных умений (анализировать художественное полотно) с целью удовлетворения эстетических вкусов и когнитивных интересов.
- повторение и систематизация языкового материала.
- реализация знаний, умений и навыков, полученных на предыдущих уроках.
- Воспитательные:
- формирование познавательного интереса к изучению английского языка.
- воспитание культуры общения.
- расширение кругозора и увеличение объема знаний о мировом искусстве, приобщение детей к творческой лаборатории художника и использование межпредметных связей.
- формирование умения эрудиции, путём высказывания собственного мнения и умения аргументировать свою точку зрения.
- воспитание потребности в практическом использовании языка в различных сферах деятельности, чувстве коллективизма и ответственности, самостоятельности, решительности и целеустремленности, умении вести полилог с соблюдением норм речевого этикета.
Оборудование: мультимедиа проектор, экран, презентация в Power Point, раздаточный материал в виде индивидуальных опорных таблиц, мультимедийная программа «Виртуальный Эрмитаж» (The Virtual Hermitage), магнитофон, аудиокассета.

I. Организационный момент
Teacher: Good morning, students. I am glad to see you.
Pupils: Good morning.
Teacher: How are you?
Pupils: We are fine, thank you. And you?
Teacher: I’m fine. Sit down, please. Let’s begin our lesson.
Today we shall continue our talk about paintings. Personally, I believe that this kind of
art plays a great role in our life. An artist can capture the beauty of the reality and
appeal to the heart and mind of a man, to his feelings and ideas.
Sometimes, paintings entertain us and arouse many feelings and emotions. But sometimes
it’s not so easy to understand and enjoy different kinds of paintings.
But what is more important, they give us many opportunities for personal development.
Today at the lesson we shall visit many museums and art galleries.
We shall talk about different styles and subjects in paintings. And to begin with, let us
revise the phrases, which can help us to describe the paintings.

of the picture there is a cottage. On the right there are some trees and on the left we

T. Have you ever visited any of these museums or art galleries?
P8: I have been to the Louvre in Paris. It was unforgettable. It was my
first visit to the Louvre, I wanted to see the museum’s three great ladies — the Venus
de Milo, the Victory of Samothrace, and Mona Lisa. Nearly six million visitors from every
country and culture in the world flock to the Louvre each year to see its masterpieces.
P9: Last year we went to the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow.
It has a great collection in Russia of foreign art dated from ancient times to
modern days by famous ancient, medieval and Renaissance sculptures and artists.
T: What museums would you like to visit? Today we have a chance to visit
different museums in the different parts of the world.

series of canvases created in 1897 and depicting “ Boulevard Monmarter” at various
times of the day and in various seasons. Complete the table on your desks.

should prove our point of view professionally, emotionally, vividly, true-to life. Am I
right? Your home task: Search the Internet. Visit one of these sites www.nationalgallery.org.uk, www.louvre.fr
And make additional notes of one painting. So you can describe it in details. Download or
print it if possible.
As English proverb says: “Tastes differ”. I was very pleased to listen to your ideas.
