Цель работы: развивать у школьников способность использовать иностранный язык как инструмент общения в диалоге социокультур и цивилизаций современного мира.
Задачи:
- Обогатить знания учащихся о традициях и обычаях проведения «St.Valentine¢s Day», существующих в англоязычных странах;
- Ознакомление учащихся с социокультурными особенностями культуры и быта Англии;
- Развитие интегративных коммуникативных умений общения на иностранном языке;
- Развитие умения учащихся участвовать в драматизации спектаклей.
Сценарий праздника
Ведущий 1:
Божей волей озаренный
Преподобный Валентин
Это праздник всех влюбленных
Своей жизнью оплатил.
И с тех пор по той причине
Ежегодно в феврале
День святого Валентина –
День любви по всей Земле.
Ведущий 2: Праздник Св.Валентина – это праздник всех влюбленных, праздник ожидания, праздник Подвига Любви – это международный день влюбленных и любящих. Имя Валентин пришло в Россию из древнего Рима, оно стало символом влюбленных.
Ведущий 3: В начале была любовь. Музыканты и поэты, художники и писатели из года в год, из столетия в столетие обращаются к вечной теме любви, потому что это чувство связывает все живое на Земле, помогает в трудные минуты, согревает душу. Романтичная и нежная, робкая и страстная, преданная и безответная…какой разной бывает любовь. Она может дарить радость и причинять боль. А еще наполняет нашу жизнь смыслом. Без нее пусто даже самому благополучному человеку. Любовь - это то, с чего начинается человек.
Ведущий 4: К нам этот праздник постучался в двери с опоздание на сотни лет. Следует учесть, что февраль на Руси – издавна месяц свадеб. Поэтому сельские девицы молились в этот день о женихах, просили всевышнего послать в мужья парня красивого да домовитого, ловкого да мастеровитого.
Ведущий 5: Считается, что Святой Валентин – это епископ Терийский, он жил в шестидесяти километрах от Рима. Он как священник венчал молодые пары вопреки приказам Клавдия II, который в каждом одиноком неженатом мужчине видел только своего солдата. За это епископ и был сожжен на костре. По одной версии 14 февраля 270г. в Риме, по другой – в 360г. в Тернии.
Ведущий 1: Love! Happiness! Beauty! There are not so many days in a year when we pronounce these pleasant words. One of the early symbols of love is Cupid, the Roman God of Love, who is represented as a young boy with a bow and arrow.
Ведущий 2: My sweetheart, look! I can¢t believe it. Is it, the Roman God of love, Cupid himself?
Cupid: This is a legend of how St.Valentine¢s Day began. When the Roman Emperor Claudius II needed soldiers, he made a law against marrying because he felt that marriage made men want to stay at home instead of fighting wars. But at that time there was a kindly prist, named Valentine. He couldn¢t agree with the emperor¢s decision. When he saw that young couples were truly in love, he married them secretly.

Священник: My children! I¢ve come from the distant past, to remind you of kindness and love, friendship and patience in your wicked world. Not only when it¢s St.Valentine¢s Day, but always, all year through. You¢re through about with words of love and wished much gladness too!
Ведущий 3: Do please take us back to the first century when the Roman Emperor Claudius II ruled the country.
Священник: All right! I see you love each other and may your dreams come true!
Юноши: Please, help us! Marry us! We love each other very much.
Священник: My daughter! My son! I declare you husband and wife!
Врываетсястража.
Стражник: Priest, you have been discovered and condemned to death! To prison! To the Tower!
Священник сидит в глубоком подземелье. На сцену входит тюремщик с дочерью.
Священник: What a beautiful girl!
Тюремщик: This is my daughter. She is blind! She will probably never see the light or trees!
Священник: I¢ll help her by working a miracle!
Через некоторое время дочь тюремщика радуется и показывает, что к ней вернулось зрение.
Девушки: I¢m so grateful to you. Even in prison you, Valentine, showed your love for everyone and restored my sight!
Священник: Unfortunately, tomorrow on 14 I will have to die. But I am not scared and I want to tell everybody on earth, «I love you. I¢m your Valentine».
Cupid: Just before his death, on February 14, he sent her a farewell message signed «from your Valentine».
Девушки: I can¢t believe my eyes. He died. But how shall I be able to live without him? It¢s impossible. I must die with him.
Встревоженный тюремщик видит, как умирает на его глазах единственная дочь, у которой только что сбылось ее желание. Он не может с собой совладать.
