Форма урока: Урок комплексного применения знаний.
Цель урока: Систематизировать и обобщить знания учащихся по теме.
Задачи урока:
- Актуализация лексики по теме.
- Совершенствование коммуникативно-познавательных умений, направленных на систематизацию и углублению знаний в условиях иноязычного речевого общений.
- Расширение общеобразовательного кругозора и развитие межкультурной коммуникации.
- Воспитание культуры общения и уважение к культуре изучаемого языка.
Оснащение урока: картинки с изображением животных, портреты писателей, презентации.
Ход урока
I. Орг. момент
Hello, friends! I am sure you are ok. So lets start our lesson. Today we are speaking about animals.
II. Речевая зарядка
1. You now there are a lot of different kinds of animals in the world and we cant imagine the life on our planet without them.
I am sure your parents read you fairy-tales about animals when you were little children, did not they?
– Who remembers any fairy-tales about animals? (Pupils name the titles of fairy-tales)
III. Основная часть
1.Russian writers
I believe you know the names of some Russian writers who wrote interesting stories and magic fairy-tales about animals, birds and insects.

2. Foreign writers.
There are some worlds famous foreign writers who wrote a lot of amazing fairy-tales. I am sure you know all these outstanding fairy-tellers. Look at their portraits. Can you guess who they are.
(На доске портреты Шарля Перро, Ганса Христиана Андерсена, Братьев Гримм, Льюиса Кэрролла, Алана Милна, Ридьерда Киплинга. Можно использовать презентацию.)
– Charles Perrout ( 1628-1703) is a world famous French fairy-teller. I think everybody has read and watched his wonderful stories. They are The little Red Ridding Hood, Puss in Boots.
– Jacob and Whilgelm Grimm or Brothers Grimm (1786-1859) are famous German fairy-tellers. They wrote a lot of world – known stories (the Bremen Musicians)
– Hanse Christian Anderson (1805-1875) is famous Dutch fairy-teller. One of his best stories is The Ugly Duckling.
– Lewis Carrol, is famous for his book Alice in the Wonderland.
– Alan Milne (1882-1956) is also from England. Every child enjoys reading or watching his amazing stories about Winnie – the-Pooh and his friends.
– Ridyard Kipling (1865-1936), the British writer, was awarded the Nobel Prize. His magic Jungle book is well-known all over the world.
What animals are the characters of these famous fairy-tales?

3. Favorite pets.
Cats and dogs are favorite pets all over the world.
But some people keep exotic animals as pets at home. Would you like to have a spider or a snake?
As for me I have got a pet too. Can you guess what it is?
Yes, you are right. It is a cat, look at his photo. Is not it nice?
Ask me some questions about it, please.

I am sure some of you have got pets. Would you like to tell us about them?
(The students present stories/ presentation about their pets.
Групповая работа
So our pets are nice, smart and kind. All of them are devoted friends.
Certainly they need our care love and protection.
Let is make some rules for keeping pets at home
(The pupils are divided in to 3-4 groups. They make some rules for keeping pets at home.)
They can be written on a special paper.
Rules for keeping Pets.
- Take care of your pet
- Feed your pet with healthy food keep it clean and warm
- Take it sometimes to the vet.
- Do not hurt your pet
- Treat your pet kindly and be patient to it
- Talk to your pet
- Take your pet for a walk
- Keep it clean and warm
- Love your pet and make it happy!
- Remember! A pet is not a soft toy.
- It is an alive creature.
4. Wild animals what about wild animals?
1)Where have you seen them/?
(In the pictures and films, at the Zoo and circus)
Look at the pictures/slides and answer my questions;

– in the grass and small bushes
– in the rivers and seas.

We have known some surprising facts about wildlife.
