How are you?
Today we have an unusual lesson. It’ll be a competition between three teams. You should give correct answers on different topics: Country Quiz, Sights of London, British Holidays and Famous People. Our lesson is devoted to one of the greatest English-speaking countries – the United States of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. I hope that you show good knowledge in English, Geography and Literature. Let’s begin our competition.

1. This is a country of the UK. Only two million people live here but they have their own language as well as English. The symbol of this country is daffodil.

2. In this country they speak both French and English. Ice hockey is the national sport. It is very cold in winter.

3. Many famous opera singers and painters were born here. Football is the national sport and typical dishes are pizza and spaghetti.
