Цель урока: Формировать и развивать коммуникативную и социокультурную компетенцию.

Задачи урока:

  1. Совершенствовать навыки говорения по теме “ Молодежные субкультуры”
  2. Совершенствовать навыки аудирования
  3. Совершенствовать навыки диалогической речи

Оборудование: учебник Кузовлева В.П. (10–11 класс), аудиозапись, интерактивная доска.

1. Warming up period.

Teacher: I`m glad to see you today. We`ll be speaking about the problems which our teens have nowadays, everything that bother them. So let`s start.

Today we`ll summarize our knowledge on the topic and we`ll use different lexical expressions in various situations and exercises. Now I want you to make our tongue at work and pronounce the word combinations from the blackboard.(2 слайд)

(Pupils: to show off, to express themselves, to differ from social norms, to be in a collective etc.)

2. The topic presentation. (Представление темы урока)

Teacher: Look at the board. The first exercise is on it. There are different groups of words. There is an odd word in each line. Find it and put the 1st letter of the word in the blank. So we`ll get the name of the topic of our conversation.

a) useful, social, colorful, meaningful;

b) usually, handsome, pretty, smart;

c) ocean, business, pool, river;

d) structure, nature, cultural, creature

e) understand, unforgivable, uneasy;

f) bikers, rockers, local, punks;

g) professor, dancer, teenager, dentist;

h) resolution, use, presentation, conversation;

i) guitar, rock, drums, violin;

j) England, France, English, Germany.

3. Discussion of the subcultures. (3 слайд (см. презентацию))

Teacher: As you can see the topic of our discussion today is “Subcultures” or what is hot with the young generation. Young people have a particular relationship with the world. There are many groupings that have interests different from those of the main stream culture. Do you agree with me? (Учащиеся делятся своим мнением, называют субкультуры и характеризуют их)

Pupil 1: A particular cultural grouping is a way for young people to express their identity. That`s why we are so different.

Teacher: Now tell me, please what subcultures do you know?

(Pupil 2: I know punks and rockers, bikers etc.)

What are the main features of these teenage groups?

Pupil 3: We can distinguish them according to their music, clothes, lifestyle, appearance, values and beliefs etc.

4. Speaking control (Контроль домашнего задания - 4, 5 и 6 слайды)

Teacher: Now look at the pictures. What are these teens? What can you say about bikers (hippies, rockers …) Have you got friends who belong to any cultural groupings?

5. Dialogue practice. (Развитие навыков диалогической речи-7 слайд)

Teacher: We are different, you are different and there are various attitudes to these organizations. Exchange your opinions in the form of a dialogue and say what teenage groupings you like or don’t like and why.

6. Listening practice.(Развитие навыков аудирования)

Teacher: Now we are going to listen to the tape. Different people will tell you about teens and the problems concerning them. Try to guess who is talking, whether he is a teenager or an old man or a woman. You have got a list of questions, look them through. (Учащиеся слушают аудиозапись и отвечают на вопросы)

7. Summing up period. (8 и 9 слайды)

Teacher: Today we`ve spoken much about teenage groupings and the problems they have. Can you say why children choose different organizations and if there are any other ways of self-expression? (Учащиеся высказывают свои мнения)
