Спектакль является одной из разработок
учителей по теме «Праздники и традиции».
Главная идея спектакля не только использовать и
совершенствовать знания английского языка, но и
показать индивидуальные способности детей, в
интересной занимательной форме познакомить
учащихся с традициями праздника «Рождество».
Внеклассные занятия развивают творческие
способности детей, формируют сознание в духе
терпимости и толерантности, мобилизуют внимание
и память, развивают у них чувство
ответственности к выполнению порученных
заданий, приучают к самостоятельности и
организованности.
Этапы подготовки мероприятия:
- Обсуждение идеи и сюжета мероприятия
- Распределение ролей, их разучивание
- Репетиции
- Обсуждение, изготовление декораций, костюмов
- Оформление зала (плакаты, открытки)
- Музыкальное оформление
Основные цели и задачи данного мероприятия:
Практические
- Обобщить и систематизировать знания учащихся по теме «Рождественские традиции в англоязычных странах»
- Развить и закрепить орфографические навыки
- В игровой форме проверить умения учащихся применять полученные знания английского языка (лексику по темам «Времена года» «Английские праздники», разговорные выражения, устойчивые формы, грамматические навыки по теме «Порядок слов в английском предложении»)
- Укрепить межпредметные связи между английским языком и музыкой, изо, мхк
- Создать ситуации успеха у всех участников мероприятия, что приведет в дальнейшем к более полному раскрытию личностных способностей учащихся
Образовательные
- Расширить кругозор учащихся по теме «Праздники в англоязычных странах»
- Познакомить учащихся с образцами английского фольклора (на материале английских рождественских песен)
- Познакомить учащихся с поэтическим наследием таких английских поэтов, как H.Longfellow
- Развитие коммуникативных способностей учащихся, умения быстро и адекватно реагировать на предложенную речевую ситуации
- Продолжать формирование коммуникативных навыков и навыков аудирования.
- Совершенствовать и пополнять лексическую базу учащихся.

to our Christmas Party!
Every country and every nation has its own traditions and customs. It’s very important
to know traditions and customs of different people.
It’ll help you to know more about the history and life of different nations and
countries.
The UK has a lot of traditions connected with holidays. One of them is Christmas.
Pupil 1: Christmas is a religious holiday which commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ. It’s celebrated annually on the 25th of December by Christians all over the world.
Pupil 2: The word Christmas is derived from the words “Christ’s Mass”, a special service held in churches on Christmas Day.

Pupil 2: Christmas is filled with wonderful things to see, hear,
smell and taste. And there is the special warmth that Christmas brings – a mixture of
joy, love and peace.
Pupil 1: The weeks before Christmas are full of excitement. People rush
about shopping for presents, decorating their houses, sending cards and getting ready for
the coming holiday.
Pupil 2: Families bake cakes and cookies, wrap presents and decorate a
Christmas tree.

Pupil 1: Christmas is a very special time for everyone. There are many traditions connected with it.
- To have good health throughout the next year, eat an apple on Christmas Eve."
- "Wearing new shoes on Christmas Day will bring bad luck."
- If you refuse a mince pie at Christmas dinner, you will have bad luck for the coming day.
- "Place shoes by side on Christmas Eve to prevent a quarreling family."
- You will have as many happy months in the coming year, as the number of houses you eat mince pies in during Christmastime.
- "Shout 'Christmas Gift' to the first person knocking on your door on Christmas Day and expect to receive a gift from the visitor.
Pupil 2: The tradition to decorate a Christmas tree came to Britain
from Germany in the 19th century.
Pupil 1: It appeared first in the royal family, later many other people
followed the tradition.
Pupil 2: At first Christmas trees were decorated with things to eat and
candles were used to light the tree.
Pupil 1: Nowadays we can see Christmas trees decorated with glass shining
balls, tinsel and tiny coloured electric lamps.

Pupil 2: Оn the 24th of December, Christmas Eve, the British go to
the church and sing Christmas carols.
Pupil 1: There are lots of carols both English and foreign.
Pupil 2: They may be traditional or by known composers, or new
arrangements of old tunes.
Pupil 1: Children also go from house to house singing carols in hope to
get sweets and a few pence.

Pupil 2: On Christmas Eve children hang up bright stockings near the
fireplace or on their beds.
Pupil 1: They believe that Santa Claus who is an imaginary old man in red
clothes with white beard comes at night and fills them with toys and sweets.
Pupil 2: Santa Claus visits houses and brings presents in bright paper
and ribbons .
Pupil 1: He delivers them on Christmas Eve, the night before Christmas,
when everybody is sleeping.
Pupil 2: How does he get into the house?
Pupil 1: He climbs down the chimney to leave the presents.

S stands for Santa Claus, who comes in the night when we are tucked up in bed with our eyes closed so tight.
