Цели урока:

  1. Практическая: развивать коммуникативную компетенцию учащихся через освоение нового лексического, грамматического материала по теме “Земля СОС”, обучить чтению, аудированию, с целью понимания и извлечения основной информации из текста, научить учащихся правильно выполнять задания в форме ЕГЭ в рамках данной темы.
  2. Развивающая: развивать и активизировать речемыслительную деятельность учащихся, их способности к межкультурному взаимодействию.
  3. Воспитательная: формировать положительное отношение к проблемам окружающей среды, владеть информацией об экологических катастрофах, возникающих при взаимодействии общества с природой, диким миром и пути их решения.

Задачи:

  1. Совершенствовать навыки чтения, аудирования.
  2. Изучить новую лексику по теме.
  3. Развивать беглость и гибкость речи, научить варьировать способы выражения мысли.
  4. Развивать умение извлекать информацию из предложенного материала, устанавливать связь, в том числе логическую, обобщать изложенные факты.

Оборудование: аудио-магнитофон, картинки для оформления, раздаточный материал для учащихся, аудиозаписи, компьютер, интерактивная доска.

Ход урока

Вступительная часть:

  1. Good morning, my dear friends. Welcome to the planet “Earth”. Today we are going to talk about the environmental problems our Earth faces. The topic of our lesson is “Earth SOS”.
  2. The aims and tasks of the lesson.

  1. Lead in (вступительная беседа по вопросам):
    1. Can you explain this phrase on the blackboard?
    2. Why is the Earth crying?
    3. Can you identify the problems shown in the pictures?
    4. What other problems does our planet face?
    5. In what ways are wild animals threatened by man?
  1. Reading and listening:
    1. Read this summary, then listen to the tape and underline the correct word.
    2. You are going to read an extract about endangered gorillas. For question 1-7 choose the answer (A, B, C or D) which you think fits best according to the text “Gentle Gorillas, Violent Times”. While reading the text, don’t forget about steps to be followed.

Questions:

  1. Why have conservations put in years of hard work in central Africa?

  1. Look at pictures with captions below. Why are these animals in danger? What can we do to protect them? Make the sentences as in example:e.g. Tigers are in danger because hunters kill them in order to sell their skins. Governments should introduce harsher punishments for illegal hunters.

The Tiger
