Основная цель изучения иностранного языка в школе – это спонтанное вхождение в процесс общения (коммуникация на изучаемом языке). Традиционно этой цели пытаются добиться увеличением лексического запаса, зазубривая слова, и изучением правил грамматики изучаемого языка, процесс говорения ограничивается выучиванием данных в учебнике диалогов. В итоге, на экзаменах по иностранному языку учащиеся демонстрируют весьма ограниченные навыки устной речи, далекие от естественного стиля общения (коммуникации).
В 2007 году сформировалось как самостоятельное новое направление в преподавании английского языка – ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING THEATRE (ELTT) –обучение английскому языку через театральные постановки. Суть этого метода заключается в описании и освоении речевых навыков, опираясь на психологические аспекты акта коммуникации приемы оптимизации устного сообщения с использованием вербальных, тембрально-интонационных и невербальных средств (жесты, мимика), что делает речь более живой, естественной. Кроме того, такие приемы снимают психологические блоки актов коммуникации.
Представленный спектакль показал, насколько успешно можно решать все перечисленные проблемы использованием ELTT. Были продемонстрированы все необходимые навыки учащихся при изучении иностранного языка: монологическая и диалогическая речь, умение учащихся работать в команде, легкое, естественное общение, включающее в себя не только речевые навыки, но и невербальные способы коммуникации. Следует отметить, что в спектакле участвовали дети разного уровня подготовки – вся учебная группа. Но каждый на сцене показал свой личный максимум, одержал свою личную победу, т.е. каждый получил психологическую установку на успех и добился его. Спектакль прошел на уровне высокого положительного эмоционального подъема. Эта установка на успех является очень важной, т.к. психологи констатируют, что низкая успеваемости учащихся и отсутствие интереса к обучению связаны с другой психологической установкой – избегания неудач.
Т. о. мы видели эмоциональное погружение учащихся в предмет, развитие интереса к предмету.

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
Little Red Riding Hood has a red hood and so people call her "Little Red Riding Hood". She lives with her Mother.
ACT I
A room in Little Red Riding Hood's house.
Mother. I want to send a cake and some eggs to Grandmother. Please, give me a basket and help me to pack it.
L.R.R.H. May I go to Granny and take her the basket” Mother?
Mother. Thank you, dear. Of course, dear, you may take the basket to Granny.
LR.R.H. Where is the basket, Mother?
Mother. It is under the table, darling, and the eggs are in the basket.
L.R.R.H. Here it is. Where is the cake, Mother?
Mother. It is in that dish. Thank you. Now, a clean napkin to cover the basket. That's right. Put your red hood on, dear, and take you scarf.
L.R.R.H. Good bye, Mother!!
Mother. Don't be long, darling! Go straight there, do not speak to anyone on the way, and come back quickly. Kiss your Grandmother and give her my love.
ACT II
In the wood. Little Red Riding Hood is picking flowers and berries.
A Wolf comes in.
Wolf. Where are you going, little girl?
L.R.R.H. Oh! Who are you? What is your name?
Wolf. I'm Mr. Wolf. I live in Wood. And what's your name, little girl?
L.R.R.H. All call me Little Red Riding Hood. I live with my Mom.
Wolf Do you like in wood? Do you like the weather?
L.R.R.H. Yes! It's wonderful weather! Summer is my favorite season! There are a lot оf flowers, green trees, berries, birds, blue sky, and butterflies.
And what season do you like best of all?
Wolf. I like summer best of all too. I hate winter!
L.R.R.H. Why?
Wolf Because in winter usually I'm very hungry.
L.R.R.H. What is your favorite meal?
Wolf. Little girls!! It's just joke!
L.R.R.H. I am afraid! Please, don't joke this way! I am going to my Grandmother's cottage. I have a present for her from my Mother. My Granny lives all alone in the middle of the wood. She has a pretty cottage. But I do not know how to get there. Can you help me?
Wolf. I can show you the way. Go this way, Little Red Riding Hood. And now good-bye. I cannot go with you. I have something very important to do.
L.R.R.H Thank you, Mr. Wolf. Good-bye!
ACT III
In the Grandmother's house.
The Wolf is in a bed. He has the Grandmother's cap on.
Little Red Riding Hood knocks at the door.
Wolf. Come in!
L.R.R.H. Good mourning, Granny! How are you?
Wolf. I have a cold. I am quite ill.
L.R.R.H. (unpacks her basket). Here is some presents for you, Granny! Some eggs, a cake, some berries and flowers.
Wolf. Come here, child.
L.R.R.H. Oh, Granny, what big eyes you have!
Wolf .The better to see you, my dear.
L.R.R.H. What big ears you have, Granny!
Wolf .The better to hear you, my dear!
L.R.R.H. And oh, what big teeth you have!
Wolf (jumps out of the bed). The better to eat, my dear!
L.R.R.H. And you will eat me?! You ate my Granny and now you are going to eat me?!
Wolf. Of course!
L.R.R.H. A-a-a-a-a!! Help me! Anybody, help!
Wolf. Please, don't cry I'm vegetarian!
L.R.R.H. What is it?
Wolf. Ve-ge-te-ri-an! I eat right food: fruits, vegetables, berries and I don't eat Grandmothers and these darling little granddaughters.
L.R.R.H. And where is my Granny?
Wolf. She is in garden. She is picking fruits and vegetables for me. She is my old friend.
A Grandmother comes in.
Grandmother. Good day, my darling Red Hood! So I am glad to see you! Meet, this is my good friend – Wolf!
L.R.R.H. Good day, Granny! I have a present for you!
Grandmother. It's wonderful! Let's have a cup of tea!
L.R.R.H., Wolf. With great pleasurе.
