Итоговый контроль знаний, умений и навыков имеет большое значение для учащихся. Он помогает каждому школьнику понять и почувствовать, каких успехов он достиг в изучении английского языка, и каковы его недостатки Различные виды тестирования остаются в настоящее время наиболее распространенной формой контроля при обучении иностранным языкам. Объективные оценки, выставленные учителем за выполненные задания теста, являются стимулом для дальнейшей работы учащихся.

Представленное итоговое тестирования по английскому языку охватывает основные темы курса "Cambridge English for Schools in Russia" (уровень I) и соответствует требованиям государственного стандарта.

Проверяется практическое владение учащихся навыками понимания содержания текстов с извлечением основной информации, знание лексических единиц в рамках изученных тем и практическое владение изученными грамматическими структурами.

Тест состоит из 6 заданий. Все задания выполняются в письменном виде на отдельных листах для ответов.

Задания.

1. Good food has seven important things. Carbohydrates give you energy. There are carbohydrates in bread, potatoes, rise and pasta. Fats make you strong and give you energy. There are fats in meat cheese and oil. Minerals make your bones and teeth strong. Fibre cleans the inside of your body. There is fibre in nuts and cereals. Water is important for your blood. Vitamins are important for your eyes, bones, hair and for other parts of your body.
2. It takes a long time for light from the stars to come to Earth. From the nearest star to Earth, it takes about 4 years. From other stars, light can take millions of years to come to us! In the sky, we can see how the stars were many years ago, not how they are now.
3. In the south of England it is usually cold in January and February. The nights are very long and the days are short. Sometimes they have snow, but not very often. In March the evenings become lighter and the temperature rises. They almost always have strong winds in April. In summer it is warmer. But they never have hot summers. November and December are cold and windy.
4. There are two types of exercise: anaerobic and aerobic. Aerobic exercises are better for you. You breathe more oxygen, your heart works hard and this helps your body.

In anaerobic exercises you move suddenly and quickly. They make your muscles stronger but they don’t help your heart very much.
5. Cavepeople hunted together in big groups. They hunted mammoths, tigers and bears. They waited for the animals near rivers. The cavepeople killed the animals with spears. They killed the animals for food. They liked to eat the soft meat first (the heart and the brains) and then they cooked the body of the animal. They used the skins to make clothes. Their hunting was very dangerous.
