Цели урока:

  1. Учебный аспект: совершенствовать грамматические навыки говорения. Практиковать учащихся в устной речи по теме “Город”. Совершенствовать навыки аудирования по теме “Город”. Практиковать в употреблении в речи утвердительных, вопросительных и отрицательных структур There is/are. Развивать умение читать с различными стратегиями
  2. Воспитательный аспект: учить бережно относиться к культурным ценностям своей страны и стран изучаемого языка. Воспитывать любовь и уважение к родному городу.
  3. Развивающий аспект: развивать способности к догадке, к сравнению, сопоставлению. Продолжить работу по развитию кругозора учащихся, памяти и внимания. Продолжить работу по сохранению здоровья учащихся.
  4. Познавательный аспект: знакомство с достопримечательностями городов Великобритании и России.

Оснащение урока: проекционная аппаратура, мультимедийный проектор, презентация “Санкт Петербург”, карта Белгорода, кроссворд, раздаточный материал, магнитофон, аудиозапись.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент.

Good morning, boys and girls. Take your seats. Let’s begin our lesson. Today we will travel to different cities, we’ll describe the sights of these cities. We will revise our grammar material (there is/are).

But before we start doing anything let’s train some sounds.

2. Фонетическая зарядка

  2. Well, I see that you can do many things in Britain, you can travel to aincient castles, you can visit London. And today we’ll visit another british town. I will not tell you its name, it is in the crossword. Do the crossword puzzle and read the name of the city.

  1. Yes, you are right. The name of the city is Campton. And yesterday I’ve got a letter from a boy who lives there. Now listen to the letter, read it and be ready to tell what there is in the city.

(Аудирование с опорой на текст. Во время аудирования дети выделяют в тексте названия достопримечательностей).

Dear boys and girls,

Hello! My name is Sam. I am from Campton. My town is small, but beautiful. There is a nice park in Campton where we can take rides. There is a cinema in Campton. We can watch films there. There are 4 shops in my city but there is no supermarket. There are no palaces in my town. In Campton there are 2 cafes where we can have ice-cream. There is no theatre and there is no castle but there is a school in my city. My school is nice.

And where do you live? What is there in your city?

T: Now open you A. b. at p. 64, ex. 2. Your task is to fill in “there is” or “there are”. (Учащиеся, которые справляются с заданием раньше, получают карточки с дополнительным заданием).

T: Now I want you to look at the screen. Here is a map of a city. Do you know what city it is? Then, ask me questions, I will answer and show you the pictures. I think you will guess the name of the city.

(На слайде показана карта Санкт Петербурга, на которой гиперссылками выделены достопримечательности (a museum, a church, etc.) Учащиеся задают учителю вопросы, учитель отвечает и открывает соответствующую гиперссылку. После того, как все гиперссылки открыты, учащиеся пытаются угадать название города.)

T: Can you name the city now? Right, this is St. Petersburgh. What would you do if you came to St. Petersburgh?

7. T: Some cities look very much alike. Open your books at p. 128, ex. 6. (учащиеся выполняют упражнение по заданию).

9. Now open your day-books and put down your hometask. Ex. 7 p. 129. Let’s read the task.

So, at home you will have to write about Belgorod. But to make it easier for you, let’s speak about our city first.

Here is a map of the centre of our city. You have pictures of the sights of Belgorod on your desks. Your task is to name the sight and stick it to the map.
