Детский праздник "In the world of English Fairy - tales"

Вниманию читателя предлагается сценарий праздника, который был проведен с учащимися 4-5 классов в рамках декады иностранных языков в школе-интернате №58 ЮЗАО. Такие декады традиционно проводится в школе весной (марте-апреле).

Цель мероприятия: повышение мотивации учащихся к изучению английского языка и формирование познавательной активности; развитие творческой фантазии и инициативы учащихся.

Задачи: способствовать развитию языковых навыков и умений; развить навыки аудирования.

Оборудование и материалы: магнитофон, разноцветные шары, декорации, костюмы, изготовленные из цветной бумаги цветы.

Предварительная подготовка: разучивание стихотворений и песен, танцев, ролей. При подготовке к празднику “In the World of English Fairy-tales”(The Flower Meeting) учащиеся на уроках английского языка разучивали стихи, песни, роли; на занятиях хореографии учились танцевать; на уроках музыки пели английские песни; на занятиях по прикладному и изобразительному искусству готовили оформление праздника. С помощью родителей к празднику были подготовлены декорации, подобраны костюмы.

The Flower Meeting.

Сцена представляет собой лесную поляну. Звучит музыка “Вальс Цветов” (П.И. Чайковский). Дети в ярких платьях и костюмах разных цветов танцуют вальс.

Ведущий: Dear friends! We are glad to see you at our party “The flower meeting”. We hope you will enjoy our party. We are sure you like flowers and you will know more about them with great pleasure.

The girl: Our Granny likes nature very much. She has lived in a small village all her life. She knows a lot about different plants. Granny says that there is a special flower for each month of the year.

The boy: She often tells us fairy-tales about these flowers and she also shows them to us as they are all in her garden collections.

The girl and the boy: This is what she tells us.

The King of the Flowers: One day I invited all the flowers for a meeting to decide when to come to the garden and fields.

На сцене появляются дети в костюмах весенних цветов.

The Snowdrop: I come first. I am the flower for January. I am very pretty and have a white dress. It is as white as snow. I appear in forests and gardens when there is still snow there. I am a native flower of Europe. My name is Snowdrop.

The Primrose: I am one of the earliest flowers too. I am February’s flower. I can be white, yellow, red, pink, purple and orange. My flowers look like stars. They grow wild in Europe and North America, but you can find lots of them in China. My name is Primrose.

The Daffodil: I am the flower of the month of March. I appear very early in spring. My flowers are usually white or yellow. I have long leaves and a sweet pleasant smell. I am a favorite flower in many gardens. I am the emblem of Wales.

The Violet: I come in spring too. When there is no snow on the ground and the days are longer and longer. I am pretty too and have a violet dress on. My name is Violet.

The Daisy: I am the flower for April. You can see my flowers everywhere in the fields, gardens, and even road-sides. My name is Daisy.

The Buttercup: I want to come in summer. I am a little flower in a pretty yellow dress. My name is Buttercup.

The girl: Oh, you are my favorite flowers. I’d like to tell you a poem about you. [3]

Buttercups and daisies,
Oh, the pretty flowers,
Coming in the springtime
To tell of sunny hours.
While the trees are leafless,
While the fields are bare,
Buttercups and daisies
Spring up here and there.

На сцене появляются дети в костюмах летних цветов.

The Hawthorn: I am the flower for May, my name is Hawthorn. I grow on a small tree and I can be pink, white and red. I also have small hard fruit which looks like a little apple.

The Bluebell: I am blue like the sky, and my dress is like a bell. My name is Bluebell.

The Cornflower: Blue is my colour too, but I grow in the corn and make the fields beautiful. My name is Cornflower.

The Rose: I come in June when the sun is very hot; I have many dresses – red, yellow, pink and white. My name is Rose and I am the national emblem of England.

The Honeysuckle: Yes, you are very beautiful, but I am the flower for June, my name is Honeysuckle.

The Water Lily: And I am July’s flower. I am Water Lily. You can often see me on the waters of a lake. Frogs like to use my large green leaves as chairs. Some of my dresses are deep yellow in colour and some pink, blue or even purple.

The Poppy: I am the flower for August. My dresses are bright red or yellow. I look like a cup. My flowers often grow wild in the mountains. My name is Poppy and I am the symbol of peace.

The Morning Glory: I am September’s flower. I am a climbing plant with blue or purple blossoms. My green leaves look like small green hearts. My flowers open early in the morning, but when the hot sun appears in the sky, they close. The blossoms are like bells. I have a sweet smell and can grow wild. My name is Morning Glory.

The Hop: I am October’s flower. People use me to make beer. I am a climbing plant and I often be decorated country houses. I am Hop.

The Chrysanthemum: I am the flower of November. I am one of the oldest known flowers. My flowers have grown in Japan for nearly two thousand years, and I am the national flower and the emblem of that island country. I can be white, yellow, red, purple, or rose. I appear from late August to December when most other flowers are ready for winter. My name is Chrysanthemum.

The Holly: I am December’s flower. I am the flower of Christmas season. I am decorated house in December. My name is Holly

The King of the Flowers: I am glad to see you, my dear flowers. Now let’s sing our song.

The children:

Come now, let us join hands.
Marguerites and Morning Glories!
Come now, let us join hands!
Sing a song or maybe two!
Let us join hands!
We are good friends.

The Rosebud:

I am a Little Rosebud,
The sweetest flower that grows.
Let me join your singing,
For I’m a fragrant Rose!

The children:

2.

Come, join us in our singing!
We’re glad to have you here.
You are so sweet and charming
That we want to have you near.

The Nettle:

I am a shy young Nettle,
With leaves so fresh and green.
Let me join your singing,
For I could not be mean!

 The children:

3.

Go, leave us to our singing!
We do not want you here,
You are so full of mischief,
That we do not want you near.

The Water Lily:

I am the Water Lily,
Whose home is in the pool.
Let me join your singing,
I’ll keep the golden rule!

The children: Come, join us in our singing!...

The Thistle:

I am a purple Thistle,
I’ll soon be thistle-down.
Let me join your singing,
I’ll never make you frown!

The children: Go, leave us to our singing!...

The PoisonIvy:

I am the Poison Ivy,
That grows up in the wood.
Let me join your singing,
I’ll promise to be good!

The children: Go, leave us to our singing!...

The Daisy.

I am the humble Daisy,
Not colourful nor tall.
Let me join your singing,
For I’ll be good to all!

The children: Come, join us in our singing!...

The children: Come now, let us join hands!

The King of the Flowers: Our meeting is over. Good-bye, my dear flowers, now you all know when to come to the gardens and fields. Go and make the world beautiful.
