Цели и задачи:
- Социокультурный аспект – знакомство с традициями проведения различных праздников в Великобритании;
- Языковой аспект –повторение грамматического материала по теме «Порядковые числительные» и активизация лексики по теме «Holidays»;
- Речевой аспект – формирование навыков произнесения английских звуков, развитие навыков и умений аудирования, говорения, чтения и письма;
- Воспитательный аспект – воспитание готовности к межкультурной коммуникации;
- Учебный аспект – формирование лексических и грамматических навыков по теме “Holidays”, формирование навыков и умений аудирования с целью понимания основной идеи текста; развитие речевых умений на основе творческого использования усвоенного материала в ситуациях общения.

4. Актуализация лексики по теме.
You know that people usually have some activities on every holiday. Let’s remember words and word-combinations. Repeat them after me. (Words on the board) Translate from E into R, from R into E.
To give and receive presents, go from house to house, sing carols, collect money for charity, traditional dinner, turkey and Christmas pudding, go to church services, eat Easter eggs and hot cross buns, send cards, Valentines, dress up as witches and ghosts, make lamps from pumpkins.

Speaker 1. On that day people send cards and presents to their husbands, wives, boyfriends and girlfriends. You can also send a card to a person you don’t know. But traditionally you must never sign it.
Speaker 2. My favourite holiday is my birthday. It’s great to receive presents and to have a party in your honour.
Speaker 3. No doubt, the most beautiful holiday is Christmas. The streets and houses are decorated, everybody is smiling and laughing.
Speaker 4. The only reason why I wait for holidays is presents. I like receiving cool things paying nothing for them.
Speaker 5. At these parties people wear masks and they dress as ghosts and witches and some people make special lamps from pumpkins.
