Цели:
Познавательный аспект:
- Систематизация знаний детей младшего школьного возраста о традициях празднования Рождества и Нового года, продолжить знакомство с рождественской и новогодней символикой в англоязычных странах и в России, с традиционными зимними песенками и популярными детскими играми.
- Поддерживать устойчивый интерес к изучению английского языка.
Развивающий аспект: Развитие способностей: к языковой догадке, к сравнению (умение находить общее и отличное в родной культуре и культуре англо – язычных стран), к имитации, логическому изложению мыслей, воображения и творческой активности.
Воспитательный аспект: Воспитание желания расширять кругозор, уважительного отношения к другой культуре, более глубокого осознания своей родной культуры; воспитание вежливого, доброжелательного отношения к другим участникам массовых мероприятий, культуры поведения, активности и артистичности.
Учебный аспект: Совершенствование произносительных навыков, навыков аудирования, лексических, грамматических, а также речевых навыков (диалогическая и монологическая формы общения).

- Чёрный зонт;
- Новогодний конверт с письмом от Санта Клауса;
- Маски кота и мышки.
Оформление зала: Празднично украшенный зал новогодними плакатами, гирляндами. В центре стоит новогодняя елка. Под ней много мягких образных игрушек зверей. На заднем фоне экран с новогодним поздравлением. На переднем фоне перед ёлкой на достаточном расстоянии стоят стульчики для детей участников праздника, а делее стулья для зрителей.
Гости праздника: Mary Poppins, Carrie-Pigeon, Santa Claus, Painter (старшеклассники, 11 класс)
Подвижные хороводные игры: “Make a circle”, “A cat and a mouse”.

Звучит мелодия “Hello Nick, hello Mel!” (2) , дети поют песню.
