I. ОРГАНИЗАЦИОННАЯ ЧАСТЬ
Ведущий 1
Some people live in the city
Where the houses are very tall.
Some people live in the country
Where the houses are very small.
But in the country where the houses are very small,
The gardens are very big.
And in the cities where the houses are very tall
There are no gardens at all.

Ведущий 2: Hello, boys and girls! We are glad to greed you at our competition. Today we are going to speak about our hometown. We will travel round Kemerovo. I hope our trip will be merry and interesting.
Ведущий 1: Let me introduce our judges (представляет членов жюри)/
Ведущий 2: And now let me invite our teams (под музыку выходят команды и занимают свои места). Please, introduce yourselves and your captains.
II. ОСНОВНАЯ ЧАСТЬ
Ведущий 1: Let's start our competition.
Задание 1: «Разминка».
The first task is easy for you. Every team will name an epithet suitable for our city.
Задание 2: «Знаешь ли ты родной город».
Ведущий 2: The next task is to answer the questions. When you have guessed the answer, raise your signal card. Try to be prompt and correct. Good luck.

Задание 3. «Достопримечательности Кемерово».

На доске вывешиваются открытки с изображением различных достопримечательностей города. Участники по очереди выходят к доске, называют достопримечательность и записывают ее название.
Задание 4. «Составь слова».
Ведущий 2: A good captain is the flag of the team. Now competition of captains is. You will make up the English words using the parts of the words.
Капитанам предлагаются карточки, на которых записаны части английских слов по теме «Город». Капитаны составляют и записывают слова.

Задание 5. «Составь предложения».
Ведущий 1: Get ready to speak about our hometown. Will you look at the blackboard, please? Let’s read the words on it together. Your task is to make up sentences with these words.
Слова на доске: native, capital, big, nice, southwestern Siberia, district, park and garden, Mikhailo Volkov monument, square, place.
Задание 6. «Конкурс рассказчиков».
Ведущий 2: We are going to listen to the stories about our native city.
Участники команд по очереди представляют рассказы о родном городе.
Задание 7. « Творческий конкурс» (для болельщиков).
Предлагается исполнить стихи по теме «Город».
III. ЗАКЛЮЧИТЕЛЬНАЯ ЧАСТЬ
