Цель урока: Формирование компетентного гражданина Земли на основе формирования ценности бережного отношения к окружающей среде.

Основная идея урока: Сформировать у учащихся сознательное отношение к проблемам окружающей среды.

Задачи урока: Развивать способности логически мыслить, разумного поведения в окружающей среде.

Ожидаемые результаты:

  1. Формирование у учащихся сознательного отношения к проблемам защиты окружающей среды.
  2. Развитие навыков монологической речи; развитие навыков чтения, работы с дополнительной литературой.

Структура урока:

  1. Приветствие. Беседа с дежурным.
  2. Стихотворение “Native American Poem.” Определение проблем человечества.
  3. Просмотр видеоролика. Постановка проблем окружающей среды и возможные пути их решения. Работа с лексикой.
  4. Работа с картой поселка. Обзор мест загрязнения в поселке.
  5. Работа с Зеленым деревом.
    – Работа с “зелеными листьями” – докладами учащихся (проекты учащихся)
    – Выполнение письменных упражнений.
    – Работа с постерами.
  6. Песня “Save the Environment”
  7. Подведение итогов. Задание дифференцированного домашнего задания.

Цели урока:

  • Образовательные:
    Закрепление лексического материала. Тренировка в употреблении языковых грамматических структур. Расширение эрудиции учащихся.
  • Развивающие:
    Развитие коммуникативных навыков. Развитие языковых и познавательных способностей.
  • Воспитательные:
    Воспитание настойчивости в учебе. Воспитание потребностей в практическом использовании языка. Воспитание любви и уважительного отношения к природе. Воспитание ноосферного мышления.

T: Good morning, boys and girls. Sit down, please. I’m glad to see you. Who is on duty today? How are you? What day is it today? What date is it today? What’s the weather like today? Who’s absent today? – Ok, thank you. Sit down, please.

Let’s start our lesson. Our task for the lesson is to discuss your projects. You should make a short test. Before we start I’d like you to look at the blackboard. The motto of our lesson is: “In the eyes of nature we are just another species in trouble”.

Well, I’d like you to listen to the poem:

Only when all the rivers have run dry
And all the fish in the sea have died
Only when all the rainforests have been burnt down
And there is no food for the animals
Only when all the blue skies have been filled with smoke
And the cities of the world have choked
Will the white man understand
That it’s too late to save the Earth?

T: What is this poem about?

P: I think the poem is about the damage we are doing to our planet. It is a warning of what might happen in the future.

T: That’s right. And the theme of our lesson today is “Nothing is forever”. We’ll speak about some problems of the environment. Let’s watch a short video and you should name the problems. (Приложение)

T: What problems have you seen?

Ps: The water is polluted.

T: You are right. You know that people all over the world are worried about our environment. The issue of ecology is important. Before you start speaking about the problems, let’s revise some words. Look at the blackboard and repeat after me:

T: Than you. Now we’ll speak about our district. Our Loza is nice and beautiful. Is it large?

P: Yes, it is.

T: Are there any ecological problems in our district? I want you to show some polluted places. Let’s name them “SOS PROBLEMS”. (Ученики показывают участки загрязнения и называют проблему).

Today we’ll make our own GREEN TREE. You’ll put your leaves after you tell us the problem you’ve searched. So, let’s start.

(Учащиеся высказывают свое мнение по теме и прикрепляют “листочки” к дереву).

P1. I want to be the first. Paper comes from trees. If we don’t recycle paper, a lot of trees are destroyed. The countryside is spoiled. People cut down trees. Fires are started. We like flowers very much, but people shouldn’t pick wild flowers. If trees are destroyed and people pick flowers and grass, birds and animals may become extinct. People, don’t harm plants!

P2. We throw away too much and in the wrong place. We leave litter near the river. The water is polluted and the fish in the river die. Local industry pours its waste into the river. The cleaning structures don’t work well. People, help to keep water clean!

P3. Many years ago our river Torgosha was deep and wide. People used to on the river. People used to fish a lot. Today people like fishing too. But some things that they use for fishing kill animals. People, protect animals and fish!

P4. We should keep our district tidy. It is our home. We must take care of it for ourselves and for future generations. There are many springs near our village. A lot of children from our school clean them. It is wonderful to drink some spring water on a hot summer day. Children, clean springs!

P5. You can see different kinds of trees and flowers in the meadows near our village. But today they are disappearing. Each of us must do everything possible to protect nature.

P6. There are many animals and birds in our district. We should not make unnecessary noise. If we don’t keep to public paths in the countryside, birds and animals are frightened. We are proud of our classmates who made some bird feeders this winter and filled them with food. Children, take care of birds and animals!

P7. Every spring I see rubbish near our village. I think that our country people do it. They throw away old things, paper, clothes, toys, bottles and plastic bags. Maybe they don’t know the 3R rules: reduce, re-use, and recycle. It’s a pity! People, take litter home or throw it to special containers.

T: Thank you. Our tree is beautiful now. But are you as green as the grass? Let’s find out. Open your workbooks at page 37. You must work in pairs. One of you will read the question, the other will answer. I give you 3 minutes.

T: We’ve already spoken about ecology and the importance of keeping the environment clean. You designed posters telling people about ecological problems and suggested some important rules to protect the environment. Show your posters and say these rules.
