Цели:

1 Учить учащихся монологическим высказываниям по истории, географии, культуре страны изучаемого языка, традициями, обычаями.

2 Познакомить с разнообразными сторонами жизни американцев, используя богатый иллюстративный предметный материал из США.

3 Привить любовь к познавательской деятельности.

Оборудование: компьютеры с заложенной программой текстовых заданий и иллюстраций; тесты, кроссворды, карты, картинки, открытки.

 History Teacher: Ребята! Америка сегодня - это территория вобравшая в себе представителей всех народов Европы и Азии, Африки и Австралии, а также местного коренного населения - Индейцев

В Америке есть немало выходцев и из нашей России. Стало престижным обучать своих детей в Американских школах, колледжах и университетах. Многие специалисты , особенно физики, артисты, спортсмены, стремятся получить признание своих талантов именно в Америке. Поэтому знание истории Америки его выдающихся деятелей, культурных достижений и традиций нам необходимы, чтобы понять, что притягивает людей со всего света в этот далекий край земли.

15 век вошел в историю своими важными географическими открытиями. Они были продиктованы стремлением найти путь в богатую Индию. Первым открывателем новых земель стал Христофор Колумб. Сам выходец из Италии, он жил в Португалии, затем переехал в Испанию.

И лишь спустя 10лет другой мореплаватель Америго Веспуччи доказал, что это новые земли и их следует назвать новым светом. Ученные в последствии в честь этого открывателя назвали новые земли Америкой.

В поисках лучшей жизни и свободы в новые земли стали переселятся европейцы, особенно англичане. Первое английское поселение появилось здесь в 1607году на территории нынешней Виргинии. С историей пиллигримов связаны два важных праздника, которые и сегодня имеет место в Америке- это День отцов пиллигримов и День благодарения.

В 1787 году в Филоделфии учредительный конвент представителей штатов принял Конституцию США.

Американский народ это сплав многих народов мира. Он своим трудом сумел создать сильную державу, которая имеет большое влияние на многие страны мира.

Banks and offices do not close, but is a happy little festival, especially for children and young people. It is celebrated among persons of all ages. A “valentine” may mean a special greeting card or a little present. It way also be the person who receives the gift. The greeting cards are often colored, have red trimmings and pictures of hearts. The day is a time to send little gifts to those you love. Flowers and candy are favourite presents which sweethearts send each other. Valentine candy is packed in red heartshaped boxes and sold for this one day. It is a favourite day for parties, especially by young people.

They dress up Halloween costumes and g out into the streets to beg.

They often wear masks on their faces. They carry baskets and bags. They go from

house to house and knock on the door. They ring the bell. When people come to the door, the children say, “Trick or treat! Trick or treat”, meaning “Give us a treat or we'll play a trick on you”. People give the children sweets, cookies and apples.

A favourite Halloween custom is to make a jack-o'-lantern. The children scrape out a pumpkin and cut the eyes, nose and mouth.

They light a candle inside the pumpkin to scare their friends. They set jack-o'-lanterns in the windows”.
