Сценарий игры "Sea Battle" (Морской бой)

Цель:

• повысить интерес к изучению английского языка,
• активизировать знания учащихся, в том числе по темам, изученным в 1-м полугодии: “Can People do without you?”и “How do you treat the Earth?”,
• совершенствовать навык работы в команде,
• учить сотрудничеству, взаимовыручке и поддержке.

Оборудование:

• листы с изображением игрового поля и с заданиями,
• презентация Power Point,
• компьютер,
• проектор,
• экран,
• листы бумаги для черновиков,
• жетоны-очки с изображением корабликов.

1. Организационный момент.

Приветствие, сообщение условия игры.

Good morning, children! I am glad to see you again. How are you, Sasha? And you, Sveta? Today we shall play a game, shan’t we? (Учитель демонстрирует 1-й слайд презентации, где дано название предстоящей игры.) What is the name of the game, children? Yes, you are quite right. The name of our game today is “ Sea Battle”. Children, as far as we have a game, there should be 2 teams. What is the name of your team, children? (Ребята сообщают названия своих команд: “Sea Wolves” и “ Pirates”, а учитель открывает следующий слайд презентации и сообщает условия игры.) You should try to guess where the ship is. Then you should do the task. The team which does it better will be a winner and will get a picture with a ship. Who will start the battle? …Let it be so. Well, name any place on the battle field. (Ребята называют клетки поля, а учитель открывает их наведением мыши, например A2, B1 и так далее, пока кто-либо не назовёт клетку с корабликом, который выстреливает. Здесь обе команды должны будут на время кто быстрее выполнить одно и тоже задание, которое раскрывается гиперссылкой. Учитель сопровождает игру репликами: It’s a pity, but there is nothing. Let’s go on. Now it’s your turn, Pirates. Игра продолжается, пока все задания не будут выполнены. Во время игры участники должны употреблять реплики, которыми можно подбадривать друг друга, выражать свой восторг и другие чувства, как это делают носители языка – англичане: Come on! Have a go! You can do that! Try again! Cheer up! Wow! Congratulations! Oops! Свою готовность выполнить задание команды должны сообщить репликой: We are ready! В случае правильных ответов команды получают жетоны с изображением кораблика.)

Задание A 1.

You know that people in Great Britain and in the USA speak the English language. But there are some things they name differently. Distribute these words in 2 columns. Choose your variant (командам предлагается выбрать картинку с изображением Биг Бена или статуи Свободы, что означает, какой вариант слов им предстоит выбрать и озвучить – британский или американский. Далее учитель вручает командам 2 одинаковых комплекта слов, записанных по одному на 20 карточках: litter, biscuits, porridge, football, sweets, gymshoes, chips, postbox, lift, shop, grade, holiday, autumn, store, last name, mailman, mailbox, apartment, the movies, subway.)

Задание A 4.

Tell about children’s activity in Great Britain and in Russia.

Команды получают задания рассказать о деятельности детей в России и в Великобритании. Примерные высказывания:

Children’s activity in Russia is very different. First of all, children in a typical Russian family have their duties about the house. Parents are always busy and they can’t do without their children’s help. Usually the children have a lot of things to do. They make their beds in the morning, sweep the floor and wash dishes. Sometimes they help their parents to cook dinner or supper. They do shopping. Doing housework gives the children good life experience for the future.

A lot of British children have their own business or part-time job to earn their own money. It is really great to help people and earn money at the time. The most popular business and part-time jobs are delivering newspapers , washing cars and baby-sitting. Some children like cutting hedges or working in shops and hairdresser’s. A lot of British children are members of voluntary organizations.

Compose some slogans to make people think about the environment. Translate your slogans into Russian. Команды должны заполнить пропуски подходящими по смыслу глаголами: protect, throw, spoil, recycle, reduce, break, pollute, put:

1. Never … garbage in water. 2. … using water and electricity. 3. Don”t … baby trees. 4. Always … your litter in the bin. 5. … old books, newspapers, bottles and metal cans. 6. … nature! 7. Don’t … the environment!

Let’s solve the crossword. Команды должны решить кроссворд, который, по замыслу организатора игры, может быть любого содержания и размера.

Задание D 4.

Match the parts of the proverbs. Kоманды получают по комплекту карточек, на которых написаны половинки пословиц, и должны соединить их и перевести на русский язык. Пословицы:

1. Treat others as you want to be treated yourself. 2. Be slow to promise and quick to perform. 3. Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today. 4. A good name is better than riches. 5. Last but not least. 6. A friend in need is a friend indeed. 7. Lost time is never found again. 8. Rome was not built in a day. 9.The devil is not so black as he is painted. 10. What is done cannot be undone.

3. Подведение итогов. Well, Pirates and Sea Wolves, our battle is over. Let’s count your points and sea who is the winner. How many ships have you got? Who are the best players in your teams? Now I want to present you with … ( в качестве вознаграждения за игру могут быть оценки в журнал, какие-либо небольшие подарки, например, закладки, ручки, календарики и т.п.).
