Цели и задачи урока:
- Формирование обобщенных знаний по теме и оперирование ими. Образовательный компонент: расширение лингвистического кругозора учащихся, приобретение социо- культурных знаний. Развивающий компонент: развитие умения высказывать свое мнение, аргументировать, совершенствовать речевое умение. Тактика диалогической и монологической речи. Воспитательный компонент: создание условий для формирования у учащихся толерантного отношения и интереса к иноязычной культуре, глубокое осознание своей культуры.
Ход урока

Турагенты приготовили необычную встречу в виде игры. Будущим туристам показывают рекламу и видеоклипы (мультимедиа) разных стран. Участники должны угадать: где эта страна; сезон; что необычного они увидели; что это за страна; хотели бы они туда поехать.
Победителей ждет “поездка” в эту страну.
-T: Let’s imagine that we are at the tourist agency. Travel agents offer you all kinds of holidays to different countries. They show you advertisements and films of many countries.
Imagine, I’m the tourist agent and you are the tourists. I’ll show you some films , advertisements of some countries and you try to guess: what country it is, what season there is, what unusual things attract you. Would you like to go there? Why? Why not?

Следующий этап работы подготавливает учащихся к письменной аргументации своего мнения, написания эссе. Здесь используются средства логической связи, фразеологические единицы вербальных опор.
-T: Would you like to live in the joining together of European countries into one union? Why? Why not? (P.168, ex.4, Кузовлев В.П., 9 класс)
Предлагаю учащимся посмотреть видеосюжеты о Европейских странах, фотовыставки, которые стимулируют учащихся к высказыванию, используя мультимедиа.
Отвечая на данный вопрос, настраиваю учащихся на логическую последовательность высказывания, рассуждения с аргументацией с использованием интерактивных фраз, необходимых для рассуждения.
Интерактивные фразы, необходимые для рассуждения, были даны и отработаны в начале урока .

Учащиеся предлагают свои варианты ответов на данный вопрос. В ходе беседы постепенно переходим от дилогической речи к полилогу, где стараюсь вовлечь в дискуссию наибольшее число учащихся.
-P1: As for me, I would like to live in the joining together of European countries because there
is strong economy and more over vast territory.
-P2: I wouldn’t like to live in the joining together of European country, because there is no Mother- land and even more Russian people.
-P3: On the one hand I would like to live in the joining together of European country because there are no wars, besides various landscape, but on the other hand there is no own currency and way of life is much more different from ours.
-P4: I’d like to keep our identity and separate currency.
-P5: And I think it’s a wonderful thing that we can link up like this. I like the various European stiles of food and cooking.
-P6: I wouldn’t say I feel European, but I don’t agree with people who think that we are better than other people.
-P7: I suppose, we have a lot to learn. We could pick up a lot of good ideas.
-T: You see, living in the single European state is very great. On the one hand there is no need to make passport and visa for going abroad. Besides you have strong economy, a single European currency, vast territory, mineral recourses. But on the other hand I prefer traveling to Europe. More than that I don’t want to see us all standardized. That’s why no need to have a common international flavor.
