- воспитательный аспект: формирование демократических представлений о политическом устройстве государства; формирование потребности к самостоятельному труду;
- учебный аспект: развитие речевого умения.
Речевой материал: лексика и грамматические явления Unit 2 “Western democracies. Are they democratic?”
Тип урока: защита проекта с использованием программ Microsoft Office
Технологии: личностно-ориентированная; использование компьютера и информационных технологий.
Оснащение урока: компьютеры с готовым проектом, экран, на который проецируется проект, печатный вариант проекта.
Ход урока
1. Вступительное слово учителя.
Today we are going to finish the work with the Unit 2 “Western democracies. Are they democratic?” We have finished our project “An ideal state.” Many lessons were devoted to discussing our state. While working we discussed some historical problems, learnt the political systems of Russia, the UK, the USA. Every state has 3 branches of power and a head, that’s why we decided to create 3 branches of power and its head. But we can’t imagine our life without mass media, so we decided to tell about mass media and the influence of mass media on our life. We made the presentation “Institutions of power” and the project “Mass media”. It consists of the presentation “The role of TV in our life” and the publication “The fourth power”. The main part of our work is a project “An ideal state”. It has two parts: the presentation “The Bill of Rights” and the publication “An ideal state”. Besides there is the web – site of the project. It can be used in Internet. The students used fantasy, imagination, illustrated the project with the pictures. They worked hard and with great interest. Now they are experts of a state system. Besides they used some computer programmers: Microsoft Word, Power Point and Publisher. Now they are going to tell about their project.
2. Вступительное слово ученика.
We have learnt some political systems and understood that there is no ideal state in the world. That’s why we decided to build our own state. We think it is more democratic than others. There are 3 branches of power and a head in our state.
3. Сообщение об отраслях власти в России, США и Великобритании.
Ученик 1 рассказывает о законодательной, исполнительной и судебной власти в этих странах. Одновременно идёт демонстрация презентации в программе Power Point. (Приложение: CD// state/ project support/ student samples/ Institutions of power)
4. СМИ – четвёртая власть.
а) Ученик 2 рассказывает о том, почему СМИ считают четвёртой властью, используя публикацию (Приложение:CD// state/ project support/ student samples/mass media/“The fourth power”). Она сделана в программе MS Publisher и также проецируется на экран.
в) Следующий ученик демонстрирует и рассказывает о роли телевидения в нашей жизни (Приложение: CD//state/project support/mass media/ “The role of TV in our life”)
5. Рассказ учащихся о своём идеальном государстве. (Приложение: CD//state/project support/student samples/publication/ “An ideal state”)
6. Билль о правах.
Every state has its own laws. That’s why we adopted Bill of Rights. Зачитывают статьи, которые созданы с помощью программы MS Power Point. (Приложение: CD//state/project support/ student samples/presentation/ “Bill of Rights”)
7. Обзор веб-сайта проекта.
а). Having finished the project we made the web –site. There are 5 pages in it.
The 1st page is devoted to the project. We tried to explain why we determined our own political system.
On the 2nd page we looked through 3 branches of power in Russia, the UK and the USA. Besides we have told about mass media and the role of TV in our life.
The 3rd page shows the plan of our work.
b) The 4th page is a teacher’s page. (Рассказ учителя о 4-й странице веб- сайта: This page is for teachers who want to discuss the problem of a state system. There you can see the methodical questions. The main question of the project is: Can we build an ideal state? There are the questions for independent research: What traits does the head of the state have? Can we make the laws for people of all races and nations? Why is mass media considered to be the fourth branch of power? I think we have answered these questions.
c) Last page is the invitation. We invite other students to cooperate with us and to build a new state.
