Цель урока: обучение диалогической и монологической речи на базе прослушанного текста с использованием ранее изученной лексики.

Задачи:

1) развитие навыков аудирования;

2) употребление ранее изученной лексики;

3) развитие навыков взаимодействия при работе в группах.

4) развитие навыков монологической и диалогической речи.

Оснащение:

  • наглядные пособия с видами города и сельской местности,
  • магнитофон, аудиокассеты с текстом и музыкой для релаксации,
  • раздаточный материал с заданиями по аудированию,
  • карточки со словами и их определениями,
  • кроссворд,
  • картинки с изображением ствола дерева и многоэтажного дома,
  • карточки в форме зеленых и коричневых листьев, голубых и фиолетовых окон,
  • карточки для деления на группы двух цветов.

План урока

1. Организационный момент.

2. Речевая зарядка.

Работа над лексикой:

а) соединение слов с определением;
б) кроссворд.

3. Аудирование:

а) прослушивание музыки со звуками городского шума и птичьего пения, выражение своих эмоций после прослушивания;
б) прослушивание текста “Жизнь в городе и за городом”, выполнение заданий.

4. Обучение монологической речи.

5. Обучение диалогической речи.

6. Домашнее задание.

Выставление оценок.

Ход урока

I. Good morning, dear children! How are you? Who is on duty today? Who is absent? Today we are going to revise some words, to work with word boxes, to listen to the text, make monologues and dialogues. We`ve got plenty of work, that`s why, let us begin.

II. I`ve got a surprise for you. We are going to play a loto.

To begin with, split into groups according to the colour of the card. Those who have red cards take your seats over here, yellow-over there.

Each group will get cards with the words and some definitions of the words.

One group is to read the definition, the other is to decide which word it is, find it and give it to me.

Let us try!

An area with lots of banks and company offices (commercial centre)

Places to leave many cars (car parks)

Areas outside the centre of the town where people live (suburbs)

Dirty air because of smoke and petrol fumes (pollution)

Heavy motor vehicle ( ) for pulling ploughs, trucks. (tractor)

Places to go at night, e. g . bars, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, discos…. (night-life)

Building used for sheltering cows. (cowshed)

A place where a number of roads meet and traffic must follow a circular course. (roundabout)

Business part of a town or a city. (downtown)

A part of city marked out for some special purpose. (district)

A road that crosses another or one that goes from one main road to another. (crossroads)

(I stick the words on the blackboard in two columns.)

Look at these word boxes and find 10 words in it. What are they?

III. Close your eyes and listen to the music. What associations does this music arouse in you? Speak about your emotions.

(The pupils listen to the music with the sounds of bird songs and noise of the town.)

IV. Please, look at the blackboard and guess why I have put the words into two columns?

Look at the pictures and words again. What topic are they connected with?

What do you think?

Now you are going to listen to the text. What do you think the text will be about?

Now, let`s see if you were right or not.

Listen to the text and fill in the chart. The first group will put down advantages and disadvantages of living in the countryside, the second –in the city. You will listen to the text twice. Be attentive!

(The pupils work in groups filling the chart.)

Work in groups. Look at the pictures and words on the blackboard again. They will help you to add something more. Write everything on the paper given to you:

On the green leaves –advantages, on the brown leaves- disadvantages.

On the blue windows- advantages, on the grey windows- disadvantages.

Now, stick them on the blackboard: leaves- on the tree, windows- on the house.

V. Take your seats. Get ready to speak about advantages and disadvantages of living in the big city and in the countryside.

Then the speaker of the first group will begin to speak. The other group will listen and prepare the questions to the opponents. The members of the group may help the speaker. The same task will be done by the second group.

You have only 4 minutes.

VI. Make pairs according to the number of the card. Try to convince your partner that the place you live in is the best

Let`s listen to the dialogues.

VII. Home task.

All of you have you own opinions about the place of living. Get ready to make a monologue on the topic: “The place, where I would like to live in”.
