Современная система обучения базируется на гуманистическом подходе, который предполагает учет индивидуальных особенностей каждого ученика. Задача любого педагога – учитывать по мере возможности природные задатки, способности, а также интересы своих учеников.
Дифференцированный подход в обучении – это организация учебной деятельности школьников, при которой с помощью отбора содержания, форм, методов, темпов, объемов образования создаются оптимальные условия для усвоения знаний каждым ребенком.
Эффективность методов обучения зависит не только от интеллекта учащихся, но и от их индивидуальных особенностей. Неоднократно указывалось на комплексную структуру способностей человека овладевать новым языком (Л.С. Выготский, Дж. Ашер, Г. Гарднер). В эту структуру включаются вербальный (лингвистический), музыкальный, логический, пространственный (зрительный), моторный (кинестетический), межличностный (социальный) и внутриличностный (самоанализ) компоненты. В зависимости от того, какая группа способностей наиболее развита, следует варьировать различные способы группового и индивидуального обучения.
А.П. Краковский [1,114] отмечает, что у подростков 13–15 лет активно развивается логическая память и мышление, а также в связи с тем, что идет половое созревание, происходит определенная половая дифференциация становления личности, ее восприятия окружающего мира и интересов.
Американский социолог Дж. Ландис [2, 49] считает, что стереотип о половом различии между девочками и мальчиками с точки зрения внешности и темперамента уже при рождении создан самими людьми. Принято считать, что младенцы девочки меньше размером и весом, красивее и нежнее по сравнению с мальчиками. Родители принимают это как данное и, ведя себя с детьми в соответствии с их полом, развивают у них гендерные социальные навыки, способствующие разделению интересов. Мальчикам с раннего детства дарят машины, пистолеты, инструменты, а девочкам – куклы, посуду, одежду.
В результате в процессе игры девочки чаще всего имитируют семейные роли: гладят, готовят, заботятся о детях. Мальчики же предпочитают конструирование и подвижные игры.
Половое различие детей становится особенно заметным в период их полового созревания. Девочки становятся более эмоциональными и впечатлительными, более щепетильными в вопросах внешнего вида к себе и окружающим, увлекаются новинками моды и косметики. Юноши же более сдержанны и озабочены совершенствованием своих физических и волевых способностей, проявляют интерес к автомобилям и компьютеру в связи с преобладанием у них аналитического мышления.
Следовательно, восприятие девушек отличается от восприятия юношей, и учителю необходимо учитывать сформировавшиеся гендерные особенности учащихся, привлекая их к дифференцированным видам деятельности на уроке.
Исследования, проведенные в США, показали, что обычный мальчик, как правило, отстает от обычной девочки в овладении навыками чтения и письма на 1,5 года. Он меньше привязан к школе, и у него ниже стремление поступить в колледж. Так, в 1997 году в колледжах Америки училось 45% юношей и 55% девушек. Данные Департамента США указывают на то, что современные девушки целеустремленнее, лучше учатся, больше читают и более активны во внеклассной работе. К. Х. Соммерс в своей статье утверждает, что мальчики, по сравнению с девочками, отстают в своем развитии в связи с тем, что им в школе уделяется недостаточно внимания. [6].
Ситуация в российских школах подтверждает выводы американских коллег и подчеркивает необходимость использования метода индивидуального подхода на каждом уроке.
Учитывая важность поставленной проблемы, предлагаем некоторые рекомендации по обучению английскому языку по теме The World of Work с учетом гендерных особенностей школьников. Выбор темы обусловлен тем, что она является обязательной по учебной программе 9 класса в связи с получением учащимися неполного среднего образования и возможностью продолжить обучение в профессиональных учебных заведениях по окончании 9 класса.
Задания рассчитаны на введение и закрепление лексического материала по теме The World Of Work. Учителю следует дифференцировать некоторую информацию, которая может быть занимательна для учащихся женского пола и абсолютно неинтересна для лиц мужского пола.
Кроме того, комплекс упражнений задействует
все виды речевой деятельности: аудирование,
говорение, чтение, письмо. Учитель может сам
определять целесообразность предложенного
материала на своих уроках.

She also does not know what she will do if she does not go to college, since she doesn’t want to get a job and work right away. She finally decides that she should take advantage of the opportunity and enroll in a nursing program. She thinks it is always good for a woman to have some practical training or skill in case she has to work in the future. [5, 31]
