Цели урока (языковые):
1. Развивать у школьников речевые умения аудирования и говорения (в монологической форме).
2. Познакомить учащихся с традициями, современными реалиями стран изучаемого языка.
3. Воспитывать у учеников интерес к изучению английского языка.
Воспитательные задачи урока:
1. Воспитание гражданско-патриотических чувств (уважения, любви, гордости за свою страну).
2. Расширить индивидуальную картину мира за счет приобщения к языковой картине мира.
3. Формирование положительных эмоций, чувства уважения к культуре, традициям и народу страны, язык которой они изучают.
Оборудование урока:
1. Телевизор (видеофильмы “Britain”, “USA”).
2. Магнитофон – аудиокассеты:
a) стихотворение о Колумбе;
b) песня “The Beauty of the World”.
3. Проигрыватель:
a) “Britain” (текст);
b) песня “Родная земля”.

Вступительное слово учителя.
Dear friends! Our conference is devoted to the UK, USA and Russia, we`ll speak about history, traditions, holidays, famous people of these countries. I hope you`ll get some new information about the world around us. Let me introduce the delegates of the conference… and begin to exchange the information and opinions.
Be attentive! At the end of the lesson we`ll check your progress.
