  To produce own utterances young learners should acquire the rigid word order of the English sentence. Teaching English to young learners has been practising in Nursery School № 223 in Ulyanovsk since 1993. The curriculum for a three year course of English and teaching techniques can be found in two parts of "Английский язык в массовых дошкольных учреждениях", Ulyanovsk 2000, 2001. One of the techniques is grammar puzzles with the help of those children construct and transform English sentences. The children are introduced to the character Mr. Spom and sound letters from the well-known cartoon English characters or construct letters to them. Grammar puzzles have jigsaw ends that are to fit each other and while playing the children get the idea of the English word order.
