Scene 1
(Играет тихая музыка – фон. На сцену выходят ведущие.)
Narator 1: Once upon a time there lived a woman.
Narator 2: She is very nice and beautiful. But she hasn’t got any children.
Narator 1: She goes to the witch.
Narator 2: Don’t worry! The witch is very kind.
(Появляются Woman and Witch)
Witch: Can I help you, my dear!
Woman: I hope you can. I’d like to have a son or a daughter.
Witch: No problem! Take this seed, plant it and wait a little.
Woman: Thanks a lot! Good-bye!
Scene 2
(Сажает семечко в большой горшок или в горшок, стоящий на столе, чтобы Дюймовочка появилась из-под стола. Постепенно появляется голова Дюймовочки с цветком на голове)
Thumbelina: Hello! Are you my mother?
Woman: Yes, I am! Good morning, dear! Happy birthday! (Поёт песню “Happy birthday!”)

Thumbelina: Mummy, what is my name?
Woman: Your name is Thumbelina. You are little but very pretty. I love you, my daughter!
Thumbelina: I love you, too!
(Начинают танцевать и убегают за кулисы. Появляются ведущие )
Narator 1: Thumbelina loves her mother and her home.
Narator 2: She has fun every day. But one night…
(На сцене появляются Дюймовочка и её мать)
Thumbelina: Mummy, I’m very tired!
Woman: It’s time to go to bed! Good night, dear!
Thumbelina: Good night!
(Дюймовочка ложится спать. На экране заставка – звёздное небо. Дюймовочка поёт первый куплет песни “Twinkle, twinkle, littlestar!”)

(Появляется Жаба)
Toad (Frog): Oh, what a pretty girl I see! She can be a good wife for me!
(Перетаскивает кровать на другой конец сцены. Декорации – бумажные кувшинки )
Thumbelina: Where am I? Where is my mum? (плачет)
Frog: Don’t cry! I’m going to marry you!
Thumbelina: But I don’t want to marry you! I don’t love you!
Frog: It doesn’t matter! Tonight we are having a wedding party! Get ready for the party!
(Thumbelina плачет, Frog уходит, прилетает Beetle)
Beetle: Why are you crying, Beauty?
Thumbelina: A frog wants to marry me! But I don’t! I don’t love him!
Beetle: Be my girlfriend! Let’s go to the disco!
Thumbelina: Let’s.
Scene 4
(Появляются жуки и божьи коровки. Звучит веселая песенка: “Hokey - Pokey”.)

Swallow: Good afternoon! Why are you so sad?
Thumbelina: I haven’t got a mother!I haven’t got a father!
I haven’t got a sister! I haven’t got a brother! Nobody loves me!
Swallow: Poor girl! I go to a hot country. Come with me! You can find many friends there.
Thumbelina: OK. Let’s go! (убегают)
(Выходят все участники и звучит веселая музыка. Появляются Ласточка и Дюймовочка)
Swallow: Hello, every one!
( Обращаясь к Дюймовочке ): They are my friends and now they are your friends, too!
