Цель: коммуникативно-речевое развитие учащихся через обобщение знаний о традициях празднования Рождества в Великобритании.
Задачи:
- обобщить грамматический и лексический материал;
- обучать устному высказыванию по теме Christmas in Britain;
- систематезировать страноведческий материал о Великобритании.
Оборудование: рисунок Рождественской Ели на доске и набор игрушек из цветной бумаги (15 штук), снежок из бумаги, карточки-задания для групповой работы, аудиозапись песни "Merry Christmas".

T.: Look at the blackboard: this is our Christmas - tree. But it is not decorated yet. And these are our toys with the tasks. Take the first toy and read the task for everyone. (Посмотрите на доску. Это наша рождественская ёлка. Но она ещё не украшена. А эти игрушки, которыми мы должны украсить ёлку. Но они не простые- чтобы ими украсить ёлку нам нужно выполнить задания на этих игрушках)
Вырезаны разноцветные шары из цветной бумаги, которыми дети за правильные ответы будут украшать рождественскую ёлку на доске.

Christmas
The 25th of December is Christmas Day. It's a happy holiday for many people in different countries.
Some week before Christmas English people are busy. They send greeting cards to all their relatives and friends.
The shops are very busy at Christmas. People want to buy presents for their family and friends. People buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with toys, coloured balls and little electric lights. On Christmas Eve people put their presents under the tree. When children go to bed, they put their stockings near their beds. At night Father Christmas comes. He has got a big bag of presents for children. He puts the presents in the children's stockings.
Every year there is a very big Christmas tree in the center of London, in Trafalgar Square. On Christmas Eve streets in London are decorated, too. ()
For Christmas lunch people eat turkey, potatoes and green vegetables. Then they have the Christmas pudding. At five o'clock it's time for tea and Christmas cake.
The day after Christmas is Boxing Day. People usually visit their relatives and friends. They do not work on that day.
