Цель урока: развитие языковой компетентности учащихся по теме «Хобби».

Задачи:

  • практические - активизировать знания, умения и навыки учащихся по теме «Хобби»; учить логически строить высказывание на основе прослушанной и переработанной информации.
  • развивающие - развивать кругозор учащихся, творческие навыки;
  • воспитательные - создавать возможность для проявления индивидуальных способностей учащихся, развитие навыков к сотрудничеству;
  • образовательные - совершенствовать фонетические и лексические навыки, расширить словарный запас, активизировать знакомую лексику в речевых ситуациях, создать условия для спонтанной речи.

Оборудование и раздаточные материалы: учебник «Spotlight»-7; проектор, компьютер, колонки, презентация, карточки с заданиями.

Тип урока: знакомство с новым материалом.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

Teacher: Good morning. Nice to meet you.

How are you?

What date is it today? (Today is the 9th of November)

(Датапредставленанадоске)

What is the weather like today? (it's……)

II. Речевая разминка, введение темы

Teacher: What can people do on rainy/sunny/overcast day? (reading/ sleeping/doing sport/listening to the music/drawing)

What about you? What can you do on this day? (I can read/watch TV/chat with friends/surf the net/)

So, do you guess what our theme is today?

(Учащиеся высказывают свои предположения)

Teacher: You're right. We'll discuss different hobbies and activities and the theme of our lesson is "Lead the way!"(Покажипример!) We`ll know about different hobbies of your classmates and we`ll listen the text about American teens.

Teacher: Tell me what is hobby?

What does the word "hobby" mean?

(Учащиесявысказываютсвоипредположения)

Use the words and try to make up a definition to the word "hobby'.

(Hobby is an activity which somebody enjoys doing in somebody`s free time)

You know that хобби - слово английского происхождения. Первое упоминание этого слова в письменных источниках относится к 13 столетию. Первоначально так называли маленьких лошадей, пони. Позже так начали называть игрушечных лошадок, которых использовали для религиозных целей. В 1759 году англичанин Лоренс Стерн в своем романе «Жизнь и мнения Тристрама Шенди» впервые использовал слово «hobby» в значении «конек», «увлечение». У каждого героя романа Стерна есть свое хобби. И именно это, считает автор делает человека человеком.

Актуализация лексики по теме

Teacher: It was the history of the word "hobby" but we go on working . Let`s remember some words which will be useful to speak about our theme. I`m sure that you have already known some of them but there are some new words. Could you open your student books at p.26, ex.1.

Please, listen and repeat these words.

(Учащиеся слушают аудиозапись и повторяют слова за диктором) - 2 раза.

Teacher: Well done! Could you tell me:

Which hobbies are popular with teens today?

What hobbies are popular in your family?

What hobbies did your parents use to have in their childhood?

(Don`t forget to use the construction "used to")

(Наэкранепримериспользованияданнойконструкции: My dad(my mum)used to draw/do sport/play football.

Which of these hobbies are not popular with teenagers today?

You can use the example which you see in your students books to answer my last question.

Teacher: Welldone!

And now let's do ex.2 p. 26. I see you know a lot of different activities but what quality do you need to do them. The words from ex.2 will help you to answer these questions, but at first could you repeat these words after me.

(Ученик читает другие повторяют за ним).

Well, let's play. The game is "Snowballs". You've got 2 minutes to remember these qualities and then you close your books. Then I'll name one quality, Misha repeat my quality and name his one; Lora repeat mine and Misha's word and name hers and etc. OK! Are you ready? Let's begin!

(Игра продолжается до тех пор, пока учащиеся не назовут все качества, которые они запомнили из у.2, с.26)

Good! Now look at the screen. You see different activities. Could you tell me what qualities are important to do them?

(Учащиеся затем высказывают свои мнения)

Teacher: Well done! Excellent!

And now I`d like to know about your hobbies.

Now work in pairs, try to make-up your own dialogues, using the card and act out them.

(Cпомощью фраз, предложенных учителем на карточке ученики составляют свои диалоги и затем разыгрывают их.)

Teacher: It was very interesting to listen to you. And now let`s have a rest. Let's do healthy exercises for our eyes, neck and our body. Let's begin with eyes. Look at the screen. (Учащиесявыполняютгимнастикудляглаз).

Look around.
Look at your nose
Look at that rose
Close your eyes
Open, wink and smile.

Teacher: Let`s turn back to our main theme. You see that a hobby is a kind of self-expression. What is interesting to one person can be boring to another. Could you look at p.27. You see the texts about ambitious (целеустремлённый) American teenagers and their success.

Please pay attention to the title (заглавие) of this article. The word "drive" means ambition (стремление, цель).

Look at the screen and repeat the words and phrases from these texts. These words will help you to understand them better.

What did Raynece Leader have to do in December 2001?

  • He had to do a science project

Why did Raynece and her mother set up a company called "Math Works, LLC!"?

  • They set up this company to produce the game that became very popular.

How did Esteban begin designing?

  • He took old clothes apart and then stapled pieces back together again.

What is Esteban in charge of?

  • He is in charge of a growing fashion empire.

When did Chase Austin compete in his first race?

  • At the age of 8.

Why has Chase Austin won so many awards?

  • Because he works hard.
