Данное мероприятие может быть актуальным для учащихся среднего звена школ с углубленным изучением английского языка, а также для тех учащихся, в учебном плане которых присутствует курс «Страноведение».

Задачи урока:

  • образовательная – обобщение и расширение знаний о стране изучаемого зыка
  • развивающая – развить навыки устной речи, развивать мышление, память, логику, цельность высказывания, формировать навыки общения
  • воспитательная – развитие навыка работы в команде, умения слушать других и уважительно относиться к их работе.

Тип урока: урок-обобщение.

Оснащение урока: мультимедиа проектор, карта Великобритании, учебники, мел.

ХОД МЕРОПРИЯТИЯ

T: Good afternoon? My dear students!

Ss: Good afternoon, teacher!

T: I’m really glad to see you here today! As you know, today we are going to have a competition. Our class was divided into two teams. Take your places and we are ready to start.

TASK ONE.

Answer the questions.

T: In this task each team will get 6 questions and try to answer them. If one team doesn’t know the answer, the other team can help. You get 1 point for each correct answer.

(In 1949 Britain and the former colonies founded the Commonwealth. It included many countries, such as Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and others. The Queen of Great Britain is also the Head of the Commonwealth)

(It doesn’t have much power, but it is very important, as it can change laws. It can delay laws, too)
