Children: Oh, no! Granny! We are going to play!
1st child: But I have got a good idea. Tell us, please, a nice cool tale.
2nd child: Queremos un cuento maravilloso.
3d child: Ja, ja. Und ich mochte ein Marchen horen.
Granny: A nice cool tale?
1st child: A nice cool tale!
Granny: Ok, ok (садится с детьми). Once upon a time there lived three pigs.
1st child: Niff-Niff.
2nd child: Naff-Naff.
3d child: Nuff-Nuff.
1st child: But, granny, dear, we know this tale.
2nd child: ¡Sí, es muy aburrido!
3d child: Ja, es ist langweilig.
Granny: Calm down, little children, and listen to it again. Two of the brothers spent lots of time abroad. So, they didn’t understand even a single English word! But look! The first, Spanish, brother is coming.

Niff-Niff:
I lived in Spain for so long,
But finally I have come home.

Granny: The girls are crazy about him!
Niff-Niff:
I made my house out of straw.
You haven’t seen such house before.

¡Vamos, vamos a bailar!

Granny: Their second brother was Naff-Naff. He was not very sociable and rather tough. He spent in Britain all his life, drinking tea and playing his fife.

Naff-Naff:
Englishman’s house is his castle.
And mine is far away from hustle.
It is made of thick oak branches.
At last I can enjoy my peaceful lunches!
And what is more, no one will interfere
With my plans. I am sincere!
(уходит в свой дом, дудя на дудочке)
Granny: Snuff-Snuff, the third, German, brother, was hard-working and strong. He made his house of bricks. He was the cleverest of all.
1st child: It’s good to be hard-working.
2nd child: Sí, es muy bien.
3d child: Ich bin einverstanden. Es ist schön, arbeitsfähig zu sein.
(Под музыку выходит третий поросенок)
Snuff-Snuff: Hallo! Ich heiße Nuff-Nuff. Ich bin arbeitsfähig, hilfsbereit und mutig. Ich habe lange Zeit in Deutschland gelebt. Aber hier wohnen meine Brüder. Bald kommt der Winter und ich soll ein festes Haus aus Stein bauen. Wir haben einen Feind. Das ist ein Wolf. Aber mein Haus schützt uns von ihm. Nun, ich habe keine Zeit und soll viel arbeiten. Bis bald.
(уходит в свой дом под ту же мелодию)
Granny: Suddenly from the wood here comes the hungry wolf.
1st child: Oh, my god!
2nd child: ¡Madre mía!
3d child: O, mein Gott!
Granny: Be patient, little children, let’s see.
(Под музыку появляется волк)
Wolf:
Bon jour, c’est moi! Comment ça va?
I live in the wood.
Grey-grey wolf.
I’m very good
Grey-grey wolf.
I’m getting hungrier
More and more.
Little pigs, petty pigs
I’m looking for.I have something to drink, I have nothing to eat. Wait a little. Take it. Ou’est – ce que c’est? Je vois la petite maison de paille. I can sniff a pig here. If I want one or more, I’ll break this house of straw!
(Волк подходит к первому домику и дует на него. Домик падает.)
Granny: The wolf blows hard and breaks the house.
(1-й поросенок убегает от Волка)
1st child: The trouble is coming! Niff-Niff is running!
2nd child: ¿A dónde está corriendo?
3d child: Zu seinem Bruder.
(1-й поросенок успевает спрятаться в доме среднего брата. Волк осматривает второй домик.)
Wolf: What a funny ugly hut! I’ll break it fast enough. With the help of my super weapon, I’ll destroy this simple shelter. Ji aurai deux porcelet pour la souper! What can be better?
(Дует на второй домик, тот падает. Два поросенка убегают от Волка.)
1st child: Niff-Niff, Naff-Naff are running fast! Their brother’s house they see at last!
2nd child: ¡Entran la casa y cierran la puerta a llave!
3d child: Der Wolf wird mehr böser und böser!
(Поросята скрываются в доме третьего брата. Волк переводит дух после погони и осматривает дом.)
Wolf: Celte maison est trop solide. It is quite clear. But I have got a good idea. I’ll get in it down through the chimney. I’ll eat them up! Do you believe me?
(Волк уходит.)
Granny: The wolf is climbing up and up.
1 st child: His eyes are red!
2 nd child: ¡ Dientes agudos!
3 d child: Ich habe Angst vom Wolf.
(Из домика слышится испуганное хрюканье и визги поросят.)
Snuff-snuff: Feiglinge! Hört auf, zu schreien. Zündet schnell den Kamin!
(Слышится звук падения, а затем Волк кричит страшным голосом от боли.)
Granny: The wolf falls down into the pot. He’s badly injured. The water is hot.
(Под веселую музыку поросята, а с ними и остальные участники выбегают на полянку и танцуют.)
Naff-Naff: We are happy! Oh, hooray! We survived in this fairy-tale!
Niff-Niff: ¡Gracias a Díos!
Nuff-Nuff: Wir haben den Wolf gesiegt.
Naff-Naff: If you ask us why, we can tell it just right now. The language of friendship doesn’t need any translation.
Niff-Niff: La lengua de amistad es clara para todos.
Nuff-Nuff: Freundschaft bewährt sich in der Not.
