Цель урока: обобщение изученного материала о странах и континентах.

Задачи урока:

  1. образовательные:
    • активизировать лексический материал по теме «Страны и континенты»;
    • расширить словарный запас учащихся;
    • установить межпредметные связи: английский язык – география.
  2. развивающие:
    • развивать навыки коммуникативной компетенции учащихся;
    • тренировать речемыслительные процессы (память, мышление, восприятие, воображение, внимание);
  3. воспитательные:
    • привить интерес к культуре других стран;
    • мотивировать учащихся к изучению английского языка,
    • формировать чувство нравственности и толерантности.

Методы коммуникативная методика, ролевая игра, технология развития критического мышления.

Оборудование: географическая карта, глобус, раздаточный материал.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

(Учитель приветствует группу, объявляет тему и цели урока)

– Hello, boys and girls. How are you?

– Fine. Thanks.

There are many guests at our lesson. Do you know the topic for today’s lesson? I’ll read you a passage of a poem; you have to listen to it carefully and try to guess the topic of the lesson.

– So, what’s the topic of the lesson?

Pupil 1: Our planet.

Pupil 2: The Earth.

Pupil 3: The world.

– Right you are. Today you’ll read the text “Countries and Continents” to get the details of it, then you’ll refresh the names of some countries, their capitals, languages, nationalities and sightseeings.
