Цели и задачи урока:

  • повторить изученный материал по теме «Экология»
  • совершенствовать навыки чтения, перевода, аудирования, говорения
  • показать значимость экологических проблем и необходимость их скорейшего решения
  • воспитывать чувство любви и сострадания к Земле, к природе, к животным

Оформление кабинета для проведения урока:

  1. фотографии животных, птиц, красивые виды природы

Ход урока

I. Урок-игра начинается с того, что класс делится на несколько групп. Каждой группе выдается по вырезанному из бумаги кругу, который символизирует землю, и разрезанные по принципу пазла фотографии животных, птиц, гор, морей и т.д. Ребята должны правильно и как можно быстрее собрать этот пазл. Когда пазл собран, учитель, используя наводящие вопросы, подводит учащихся к теме и целям урока, предлагает учащимся сказать, о чем они будут говорить сегодня. Когда тема определена учитель предлагает учащимся прочитать рифмовку TheEarthisagarden… (слайд 1).

Далее учитель раздает учащимся карточки-опоры для аргументации своей точки зрения и задает вопросы DoyouagreethattheEarthisagarden? Why/whynot? Canyouproveit?

Учитель, выслушав ответы учащихся, подводит итог сказанному: «Youareright. I fully agree with you. The Earth is really very large and beautiful. A lot of different plants grow on the Earth. A lot of different big and small animals and birds live on it. But the Earth is a very fragile planet and now it is in great danger». (слайды 2 и 3).

II. Во время следующего конкурса-задания команды должны определить название урока, а для этого им нужно прочитать и перевести слова по теме Ecology (слайд 4) и расположить их в алфавитном порядке (слайд 5). В каждом слове одна буква выделена другим цветом. Если задание выполнено правильно, то из красных букв получится название игры «SaveOurPlanet» (слайд 6)

Учитель задает учащимся наводящие вопросы: Do you agree that we should save our planet? DoyouagreethattheEarthisingreatdanger? и т.д. Затем учитель говорит, что на уроке будут обсуждаться вопросы экологии, причины экологических проблем и пути их решения.

III. Далее команды по очереди читают и переводят телеграммы, которые люди могли бы получить от природы, если бы она могла обратиться к нам.

  • SOS! We are land, air, and water. We are very important for flowers, trees, animals, birds and people. But we are damaged. Help us! SOS! (слайд 7)
  • SOS! We are forests. We are cut down. We are burnt. We are spoiled. Fires are left. Litter is left. Help us! SOS! (слайд 8)
  • SOS! We are oceans and seas. We are full of wonders but now we are polluted. We are poisoned. We are dirty. Help us! SOS!(слайд 9)

После того как телеграммы прочитаны и переведены, команды составляют предложения о причинах бедственного состояния природы.

IV. Следующее задание – учащиеся отвечают на вопросы. Каждой паре учащихся дается карточка. Только первая карточка имеет порядковый номер 1. Все остальные карточки порядкового номера не имеют. Учащиеся внимательно слушают вопрос, и если они отвечают на вопрос, они же читают следующий вопрос.

На всех карточках кроме первой сначала идет ответ, затем следующий вопрос. На карточке №1 сначала идет вопрос, а потом ответ на последний вопрос. Если учащиеся работают в паре, то одни из них читает вопрос, другой читает ответ. Если ученик сидит один, то он читает и вопрос, и ответ.

There are a lot of ways to solve ecological problems and one of them is to remember 3 R’s: reduce, reuse, recycle.
We live on the Earth. The Earth is our home.

What kind of planet is the Earth?
The Earth is a large and very beautiful planet. The Earth is full of wonders. A lot of animals and birds live on the Earth. A lot of plants grow on it.

What is ecology?
The word ecology comes from the Greek language and means home.

What is the environment?
Ecology is a rather young science. It studies the relations between people and their environment.

What language does the word ecology come from? What does it mean?
The environment is everything around us. The environment includes all living creatures and everything that is not alive. The whole Earth is our environment. Many years ago people lived in harmony with nature but nowadays the Earth is in great danger.

What are the most important ecological problems?
Today people are facing numerous environmental problems. Air pollution, land pollution, and water pollution are the most important ecological problems. People pay great attention to nuclear pollution, deforestation, the greenhouse effect, climate changes, acid rains, too.

What causes these ecological problems?
People themselves destroy our environment. Modern plants, factories and electric power stations pollute the Earth. Nuclear tests and accidents do a lot of harm to nature. Cars poison the air. Fires damage forests.

What should people do to solve ecological problems?

V. Следующее задание – это аудирование. Учащимся предлагается послушать песню Save the Planet и вставить пропущенные слова. Если группа учащихся не очень сильная, пропущенные слова можно написать справа от песни или внизу. Песня взята из пособия Click On (mp3 запись песни прилагается).

Данное задание учащиеся могут выполнять или индивидуально, или в парах, или в группах. Проверять задание учащиеся могут сами у себя, или поменявшись в парах или поменявшись в группах (cлайд 10).

После того как слова вставлены в песню, учащиеся читают и переводят ее, затем читают текст песни вслух, а затем поют.

Работая с песней, учитель может предложить учащимся ответить на вопросы, например Whatecologicalproblemsarementionedinthesong? What causes these problems?

VI. Далее следует игра. Каждое выражение напечатано на отдельном листе А4, которые соединены в одно игровое поле. Команды по очереди бросают кубик, двигаются на выпавшее количество клеток, читают и переводят выражение и составляют с ним предложение.

Затем командам дается три минуты на подготовку рассказа об экологии и экологических проблемах с использованием данных выражений, и представитель команды рассказывает его.

VII. И заключительный конкурс игры заключается в следующем. Учащимся предстоит ответить на вопрос Toliveornottolive? Whatplanetwouldyouprefertoliveon? Why? (слайд 11). Для этого команды по очереди составляют предложения о том, что люди должны или не должны делать для скорейшего решения экологических проблем.

В конкурсе принимают участие все игроки. Правильно составленное предложение дает право прикрепить луч к солнцу / в качестве лучей используются вырезанные из цветной бумаги ладони/. Другой вариант – прикрепить зеленый листочек на дерево.

Когда «солнце» / «дерево» готово, все участники игры, включая учителя-ведущего, встают в круг и, взявшись за руки, отвечают на вопросы учителя (слайды 12-13).

Закончить урок, можно припевом из песни «Save Our Planet».

В ходе всей игры после каждого выполненного задания команда, лучше другой справившаяся с ним, убирает с карты Земли завод и прикрепляет дерево. В конце игры Земля чистая и над ней сияет «солнышко».
