Учебно-методический комплекс – “Английский язык” для школ с углубленным изучением, лицеев, гимназий, колледжей. О.В. Афанасьевой, И.В. Михеевой, Москва “Просвещение”, 2006 г.

Необходимое оборудование: компьютеры, медиапроектор, экран.

Время реализации: 2 урока (80 минут).

Авторский медиапродукт: презентация из 14 слайдов (среда Microsoft PowerPoint).

Целесообразность использования медиапродукта на занятии:

• интенсификация учебного процесса, а в частности автоматизация процесса запоминания и использования слов по пройденной теме;
• развитие наглядно-образного мышления за счет повышения уровня наглядности;
• повышение мотивации к изучению английского языка;
• формирование навыков коммуникативного взаимодействия;
• возможность практического применения полученных знаний
• личностно ориентированный подход в обучении

Цель урока: способствовать развитию социальной компетенции

Задачи урока:

образовательная – обобщить знания по теме “Мир профессий”

развивающие:

• тренировать навыки просмотрового чтения;
• развивать творческие способности учащихся;
• формировать навык работы с газетной статьей;
• ознакомить с написанием резюме для трудоустройства

воспитательные:

• формировать коммуникативные умения;
• формировать осознанное отношение к выбору будущей профессии

ЧАСТЬ 1

1. Введение в сюжет урока.

(На экране эпиграф:

T.: Hi ho! Hi ho! It’s off to work we go! Some people like dwarfs who sang these words on their way to the mines go for their work eagerly, but others may groan at the very prospect.

The topic of our lesson is “The world of work”. The quotation of the lesson is on the screen. Today we will try to find out what work should it be to go there eagerly. We’ll know about your family occupations and who inspires you in career matters. You’ll know some interesting facts about one man who is still working though he is as old as hills and there will be a surprise for you in the final part of the lesson.

2. Презентация.

T: We start talking about the world of work from the medieval past when many occupations were born. You will listen to P1 with presentation “Medieval Occupations in Britain.”

T.: Thank you very much. It was interesting to listen to the history of jobs and what about up-to date professions? Look at the screen. Here is the list of modern professions and positions. (на экране появляется список слов - 3, 4 слайды в презентации к уроку)

3. Активизация лексики по теме

T.: Could you read some of these words?

Now, please categorize these jobs into skilled/ unskilled

White-collar/ blue-collar

Professional /technical/service trades

T.: let’s discuss the meaning of some jobs.

T.: Now look at the suffixes. Which is the most commonly used for occupations?

Create some new kinds of work using them.

4. Проверка домашнего задания. (5 слайд в презентации)

T.: Well, your homework was also connected with the world of jobs.

Your task was to create family occupation trees.

(обучающиеся защищают свои индивидуальные учебные проекты – родовое дерево профессий, пользуясь электронными носителями на компьютерах).

At home you have discussed with your family, uncles and aunts, your grandparents and some other relatives you feel connected with the kind of work they do or have done and drew a family tree with person’s names, the jobs they held and special talents or skills they used.

T.: let’s listen to your reports and then we’ll try to make a community- wide conclusion.

Cl.: So, the conclusion is that very often we choose quite the same job as our relatives do or have done, we follow in their footsteps, but sometimes we choose something unusual for our family and create a new pattern.

5. Релаксация

T.: I suggest you to relax. Let’s deal with a quiz.

T.: and now you will be actors. Select a card and act out the occupation. The other students must ask yes/ no questions in order to guess the occupations.

6. Работа с текстом (<Приложение 2>)

T.: Now after a short rest I want you to read the text “ I prefer to work...”

T.: Click on the text. Can you predict from the headline what the article will be about?

So read it, try to understand the idea of the article and do the following tasks:

For P1,P2 and P3 - to write 3 questions on the text

For P4 and P5 - to make a reported speech

For P6, P7 and P8 - to define the tenses of the predicite in the sentences

For P9 - to render the article (<Приложение 3>)

7. Знакомство с требованиями по составлению резюме (<Приложение 4>)

T.: Well, I suppose all of you would like to have the pocket money. There are two ways to have it : either to ask for it or to earn it. To earn money you should find some job, to find the job you should write a resume. So, the final part of our lesson will be making a resume.

T.: Resumes must be truthful, organized and presentable.
